Abstract
Description
1)ゴムスポンジの表面から、ゴムスポンジの最小幅の10%、又は1mmのうち大きい値の深さよりも内側の部分における異なる3箇所の断面を、実体顕微鏡で観察する。
2)観察された断面において、面積6mm2の領域内に観測される全ての気泡の気泡径を測定する。
3)測定された全ての気泡径の算術平均を発泡部の平均気泡径とし、測定された全ての気泡径の標準偏差を発泡部の気泡の標準偏差とする。
上記方法において、「ゴムスポンジの最小幅」は、ゴムスポンジを任意の平面に垂直投影したときに、得られる投影像の外周に接する2本の平行線の間の距離の最小値である。この2本の平行線の間の距離の最小値が最小となるように、ゴムスポンジが垂直投影される平面のゴムスポンジに対する位置及び向きが決定される。例えば、直方体状のゴムスポンジの場合、その最も短い辺の長さが「ゴムスポンジの最小幅」である。シート状のゴムスポンジの場合、通常、その厚さが「ゴムスポンジの最小幅」である。ゴムスポンジの最小幅が10mm以下である場合、表面から1mmの深さよりも内側の部分における気泡径が測定され、ゴムスポンジの最小幅が10mmを超える場合、「ゴムスポンジの最小幅の10%」の値の深さよりも内側の部分における気泡径が測定される。
後述の実施例又は比較例で得られたゴムスポンジの表層部から、スキン層を含む厚さ10mmの部分を取り除き、残った発泡部の密度、吸水率、平均気泡径、気泡径の標準偏差、及び反発弾性を以下の手順で測定した。
発泡部から40mm×40mm×40mmの試験片を打ち抜いた。試験片を用いて、JIS K 6268に準じた水中置換法により、ゴムスポンジの発泡部の密度を測定した。
発泡部から40mm×40mm×40mmの試験片を打ち抜き、試験片の質量を測定した。試験片を水中に沈め、金網と重りにより試験片が水中に完全に浸漬した状態を維持しながら、雰囲気を−625mmHgまで減圧し、これを3分間保持した。続いて、大気圧に戻し、1分間経過後、吸水した浸漬後の試験片の質量を測定した。以下の式から吸水率を算出した。

発泡部を適当な大きさに切削した。切削により形成された発泡部の断面を、実体顕微鏡(ニコン社製)を用い、30倍の倍率で観察し、発泡部の異なる3箇所の断面の拡大画像の写真を撮影した。得られた3つの断面写真それぞれにおいて、面積6mm2の領域内に観測される全ての気泡の気泡径を測定した。3つの断面写真から得られた全ての気泡径の算術平均を、発泡部の平均気泡径として算出した。図1は、実施例1で得られたゴムスポンジ(発泡部)の平均気泡径の導出に使用した実体顕微鏡写真である。
「(3)平均気泡径」において3つの断面写真から得られた全ての気泡径の標準偏差を、下記式より算出した。
発泡体から厚さ25mmの試験片を打ち抜いた。該試験片を用いて、リュプケ式反発弾性試験機(上島製作所社製)を用いて、試験片の厚さ以外はJIS K 6255に準じた振子式試験により、30℃における反発弾性を測定した。
(発泡性ゴム組成物の製造)
以下に示す(A)合成ゴム、(B)有機フィラー、及びその他の添加剤を、スタート温度70℃に調整した1700mlのバンバリーミキサー(神戸製鋼所社製)を用いて、ローター回転数60rpmで8分間混練して、ゴム組成物を得た。
(A)合成ゴム:
・共重合体−A(エチレン−プロピレン−5−エチリデン−2−ノルボルネン共重合体ゴム、135℃テトラリン中で測定した極限粘度:1.6dl/g、エチレン単位の含有量:54質量%、非共役ジエン単位の含有量:4.0質量%、住友化学社製、商品名「エスプレン 501A」):50質量部
・共重合体−B(エチレン−プロピレン−5−エチリデン−2−ノルボルネン共重合体ゴム、135℃テトラリン中で測定した極限粘度:1.5dl/g、エチレン単位の含有量:55質量%、非共役ジエン単位の含有量:9.5質量%、住友化学社製、商品名「エスプレン 505A」):50質量部
(B)有機フィラー:
・PVC−A(塩化ビニルモノマーを乳化重合することにより製造された、実質的にポリ塩化ビニルからなるパウダー状ポリ塩化ビニル、走査型電子顕微鏡で観察した際の最大幅の算術平均による平均粒径1.0/0.3μmの混合物):75質量部
その他添加剤:
・カーボンブラック(旭カーボン社製、商品名「旭#50G」):20質量部
・プロセスオイル(出光興産社製、商品名「ダイアナ プロセスオイル PS−430」):70質量部
・ポリエチレングリコール(三洋化成工業社製、商品名「PEG−4000S」):2質量部
・酸化亜鉛(正同化学工業社製、商品名「酸化亜鉛 2種」):5質量部
・ステアリン酸(新日本理化社製、商品名「ステアリン酸 50S」):1質量部
(C)発泡剤:
・アゾジカルボンアミド(三協化成社製、商品名「セルマイクC−1」):7.0質量部
加硫剤:
・硫黄(鶴見化学工業社製、商品名「金華印 微粉硫黄200メッシュ」):1.5質量部
その他添加剤:
・尿素系助剤(三協化成社製、商品名「セルトンNP」):3.7質量部
・2−メルカプトベンゾチアゾールマスターバッチ(ラインケミージャパン社製、商品名「レノグラン MBT−80」):1.25質量部
・ジエチルジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛マスターバッチ(ラインケミージャパン社製、商品名「レノグラン ZDEC−80」):2.5質量部
・ジメチルジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛マスターバッチ(ラインケミージャパン社製、商品名「レノグラン ZDMC−80」):1.25質量部
発泡性ゴム組成物を、径45mmのスクリューが内装されたシリンダーを有する押出機(L/D=16、中田造機社製)を用いて成形して、直方体状(横幅:約40mm、長さ:約150mm、高さ:約35mm)の押出成形品を得た。押出成形中、シリンダーの内部を−101kPaのゲージ圧まで減圧した。
アゾジカルボンアミドの配合割合を15.0質量部に変更し、尿素系助剤の配合割合を8.0質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
アゾジカルボンアミドの配合割合を24.0重量部に変更し、尿素系助剤の配合割合を8.0質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aの配合割合を25質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aの配合割合を50質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aを、PVC−B(塩化ビニルモノマーを乳化重合することにより製造された、実質的にポリ塩化ビニルからなるパウダー状ポリ塩化ビニル、走査型電子顕微鏡で観察した際の最大幅の算術平均による平均粒径1.0μm)75質量部に代えたこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aを、PVC−C(塩化ビニルモノマーを乳化重合することにより製造された、実質的にポリ塩化ビニルからなるパウダー状ポリ塩化ビニル、走査型電子顕微鏡で観察した際の最大幅の算術平均による平均粒径1.0/0.3/0.1μmの混合物)75重量部に代えたこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
成分(B)を配合しなかったこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aの配合割合を5質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aの配合割合を15質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aの配合割合を125質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
PVC−Aの配合割合を175質量部に変更したこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
充填剤として、炭酸カルシウム(日東粉化工業社製、商品名「NS#200」)50質量部、及び酸化カルシウム(井上石灰工業社製、商品名「VESTA−PP」)5質量部を更に加えたこと以外は実施例2と同様にして、ゴムスポンジを作製した。
Claims (7)
- 加硫された合成ゴムを含有する発泡部を有し、
前記発泡部の平均気泡径が10〜350μmで、
前記発泡部の気泡径の標準偏差が10〜150μmである、
ゴムスポンジであって、
当該ゴムスポンジが有機フィラーを更に含有し、前記有機フィラーの平均粒径が0.1〜5μmである、
ゴムスポンジ。 - 前記合成ゴムの含有量が、当該ゴムスポンジの質量を基準として20〜80質量%である、請求項1に記載のゴムスポンジ。
- 前記合成ゴムが、エチレン−α−オレフィン−非共役ジエン共重合体ゴムを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のゴムスポンジ。
- 前記合成ゴムの含有量に対する前記有機フィラーの含有量の比が、0.20〜1.00である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のゴムスポンジ。
- 前記有機フィラーが塩化ビニル系樹脂を含む粒子を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のゴムスポンジ。
- 合成ゴムと、
有機フィラーと、
発泡剤と、
を含有する、発泡性ゴム組成物であって、
前記合成ゴムの含有量が、当該発泡性ゴム組成物のうち前記発泡剤以外の成分の合計質量を基準として30〜80質量%であり、
前記合成ゴムの含有量に対する前記有機フィラーの含有量の質量比が、0.20〜1.00であり、
前記有機フィラーの平均粒径が0.1〜5μmである、
発泡性ゴム組成物。 - 前記有機フィラーが塩化ビニル系樹脂を含む粒子を含む、請求項6に記載の発泡性ゴム組成物。
