Description
ピストンバルブ方式のエンジン本体(214)と、
該エンジン本体(214)とエアクリーナ(208)との間に介装された気化器(240)と、
前記気化器(240)内に配設され、板状のバタフライ弁で構成されたスロットルバルブ(6)と、
全開状態の前記スロットルバルブ(6)の板面に向けて燃料を吐出するメインノズル又はメインポート(14、202)と、
前記気化器(240)と前記エンジン本体(214)とに連結され且つフレッシュエア通路(224)と混合気通路(226)と有するインテーク部材(220)と、
前記混合気通路(226)は、混合気ポートを通じて前記エンジン本体のクランク室(216)と連通可能であり、
前記エンジン本体(214)は、
掃気を行うために前記クランク室(216)の混合気を燃焼室(228)に供給する掃気通路と、
前記フレッシュエア通路(224)からフレッシュエアを受け取る空気ポートと、
該空気ポートからのフレッシュエアで前記掃気通路の上部を満たすために、ピストン(218)の周面に形成されたピストン溝とを含み、
加速時に増量燃料を供給する加速支援装置を備えていない層状掃気式2サイクルエンジンであって、
前記スロットルバルブの上流側が、仕切り壁のない開放された空間で構成されており、
前記混合気ポート(226a)の開くタイミングが、前記ピストン溝を介して前記空気ポートと前記掃気通路とが連通するタイミングよりも早く設定され、
前記ピストン(218)の上昇過程で、前記ピストン溝と前記掃気通路とが連通して前記掃気通路の上部にフレッシュエアが充填される、その開始タイミングに先だって、前記混合気通路から前記クランク室(216)への混合気の充填が開始され、
前記気化器(240)がベンチュリ部(206)を含んでいないことを特徴とする層状掃気式2サイクルエンジンを提供することにより達成される。
(1)従来例で説明したベンチュリ部104(図18)が存在しない。
(2)スロットルバルブ軸6aとチョークバルブ軸32aとの間の距離D1が小さい。
(4)チョークバルブ軸32aが気化器30の上流側端面30bに隣接して位置している。

Claims (10)
- ピストンバルブ方式のエンジン本体と、
該エンジン本体とエアクリーナとの間に介装された気化器と、
前記気化器内に配設され、板状のバタフライ弁で構成されたスロットルバルブと、
全開状態の前記スロットルバルブの板面に向けて燃料を吐出するメインノズル又はメインポートと、
前記気化器と前記エンジン本体とに連結され且つフレッシュエア通路と混合気通路とを有するインテーク部材と、
前記混合気通路は、混合気ポートを通じて前記エンジン本体のクランク室と連通可能であり、
前記エンジン本体は、
掃気を行うために前記クランク室の混合気を燃焼室に供給する掃気通路と、
前記フレッシュエア通路からフレッシュエアを受け取る空気ポートと、
該空気ポートからのフレッシュエアで前記掃気通路の上部を満たすために、ピストンの周面に形成されたピストン溝とを含み、
加速時に増量燃料を供給する加速支援装置を備えていない層状掃気式2サイクルエンジンであって、
前記スロットルバルブの上流側が、仕切り壁のない開放された空間で構成されており、
前記混合気ポートの開くタイミングが、前記ピストン溝を介して前記空気ポートと前記掃気通路とが連通するタイミングよりも早く設定され、
前記ピストンの上昇過程で、前記ピストン溝と前記掃気通路とが連通して前記掃気通路の上部にフレッシュエアが充填される、その開始タイミングに先だって、前記混合気通路から前記クランク室への混合気の充填が開始され、
前記気化器がベンチュリ部を含んでいないことを特徴とする層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。 - 前記メインノズルが、下流側に向けて傾斜して配置されている、請求項1に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
- 前記メインノズル又はメインポートから、燃料が、斜めに且つ前記混合気通路の下流側に向けて吐出される、請求項1に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
- 前記メインノズルの吐出口が、前記スロットルバルブの外端縁の回転軌跡と干渉しない且つ該回転軌跡に隣接して位置している、請求項2又は3に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
- 平面視したときに、前記スロットルバルブの軸と前記気化器の下流側端面との距離が、該スロットルバルブの半径の1/2以下である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
- 前記メインポートが、前記混合気通路を規定する壁面から突出する局部的な小山の頂部に開口している、請求項1又は3に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
- 前記メインノズル又は前記メインポートに隣接し且つその直ぐ上流に配置され且つ前記メインノズル又は前記メインポートを通過する吸入エアの流れを整える整流要素を更に有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
- 前記気化器が、前記スロットルバルブの上流側に配置され且つバタフライ弁で構成されたチョークバルブを更に有し、該チョークバルブと前記スロットルバルブとの間が、仕切り壁のない開放した空間である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
- 前記チョークバルブと前記スロットルバルブとの間の開放した空間を通じて、前記チョークバルブの上方領域を流れる吸入エアが前記スロットルバルブの下方領域に流入し、
前記開放空間を通じて前記スロットルバルブの下方領域に流入する第1吸入エアが、チョークバルブの下方領域を流れる第2吸入エアと合流する位置又はその下流側に向けて前記メインノズル又は前記メインポートから吐出される燃料が差し向けられる、請求項8に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。 - 前記チョークバルブと前記スロットルバルブとが互いに干渉しない位置まで接近して配置され、前記チョークバルブの軸と前記スロットルバルブの軸との間の距離が、前記チョークバルブの半径と前記スロットルバルブの半径とを合算した値にほぼ等しい、請求項8に記載の層状掃気式2サイクルエンジン。
