Description
電磁波放射アンテナ及び放電電極を備えるプラズマ発生装置であって、
プラズマの発生を制御するプラズマ制御装置を備え、
上記プラズマ制御装置は、駆動シークエンス制御により、上記電磁波放射アンテナから電磁波を断続的に放射させる
ことを特徴とするプラズマ発生装置である。
本実施形態のプラズマ生成装置の動作について説明する。
本実施形態のプラズマ発生装置1は、マイクロ波パルスを上述のように制御することができるため、電力の無駄を省き、使用の目的に合った強度のプラズマを適切なタイミングで発生させることができる。それにより、用いる電力に対するプラズマ発生効率を向上させることができる。

Claims (4)
- 内燃機関に用いられる電磁波放射アンテナ及び放電電極を備えるプラズマ発生装置であって、
プラズマの発生を制御するプラズマ制御装置を備え、
上記プラズマ制御装置は、駆動シークエンス制御により、上記電磁波放射アンテナから電磁波を断続的に放射させ、
前記プラズマ制御装置は、プラズマ発生領域におけるプラズマ発生効率によりプログラム制御及び/又はフィードバック制御を受け、
前記プラズマ発生効率は、進行波電力に対する反射波電力の値と、ラジカル発光量、温度、電子温度、電子密度からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の指標値とにより表され、
前記プラズマ発生効率の高低に応じて、電磁波放射をリアルタイムで制御し、
さらに、前記内燃機関の燃焼場の状況によりプラズマを最適化するプラズマ最適化テーブルを有し、前記内燃機関の運転状況に応じて前記内燃機関を制御するECUのMAP制御に対応し、燃焼伝播速度に応じてプラズマ強度を変えて、ラジカルを効率的に発生させ、前記反射波電力が最小となるように制御する
ことを特徴とするプラズマ発生装置。 - 上記プラズマ制御装置は、上記電磁波の発振周波数、電力、出力タイミング、パルス幅、パルス周期及びデューティー比を制御する請求項1に記載のプラズマ発生装置。
- 上記電磁波放射アンテナを複数備える請求項1又は請求項2に記載のプラズマ発生装置。
- 上記プラズマ制御装置は、内燃機関の冷間始動時に燃料噴射を制限し、内燃機関の放電装置の近辺を加温するための電磁波照射を行うように制御する請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のプラズマ発生装置。
