Claims (2)
- ピストンが往復運動するレシプロエンジンの燃焼室に電磁波を放射する電磁波放射手段を備え、
上記燃焼室において混合気を着火させるタイミングで、上記電磁波放射手段により燃焼室へ電磁波を放射して電磁波プラズマを生成することにより上記混合気を着火させるプラズマ装置であって、
上記混合気の着火後の火炎伝播中に燃焼室へ電磁波が放射されるように上記電磁波放射手段を制御して、放射された電磁波と伝播火炎中の電子とを共鳴させることにより火炎伝播速度を増大させる火炎加速手段を備え、
該火炎加速手段が、各吸排気バルブ及びシリンダヘッドの燃焼室露出面に通過部を形成し、吸排気バルブが閉じられたときに各通過部が互いに接続されることにより構成されるコイルと、
伝播火炎が所定の加速位置を通過する際に上記電磁波放射手段に電磁波を放射させ、且つ、上記コイルに電流を流通させる加速用制御手段を構成する制御器とからなる
ことを特徴とするプラズマ装置。 - 請求項1に記載のプラズマ装置において、
上記燃焼室のガスを電離にさせる電離手段を備え、
上記燃焼室において混合気を着火させるタイミングで、上記電離手段により燃焼室のガスを電離させると共に、上記電磁波放射手段により燃焼室へ電磁波を放射することにより、電磁波プラズマを生成する
ことを特徴とするプラズマ装置。
