Claims (1)
- 円筒状のシリンダ内をピストンが往復運動するように構成され、上記シリンダ内の燃焼室の中心部で混合気が点火される内燃機関本体と、
上記燃焼室においてノッキングが発生した場合にノッキングの発生領域を検出するノック領域検出手段と、
電磁波を発振する電磁波発振器及び該電磁波発振器から供給された電磁波を上記燃焼室へ放射するための上記燃焼室の外周部分に沿って延びるアンテナを有し、火炎面の到達前にプラズマを生成して活性種を生成する活性種生成手段とを備え、
上記活性種生成手段は、上記アンテナの表面において相対的に電界強度が強い強電界領域の位置を変える電界調節器を備え、上記ノック領域検出手段の検出結果に基づいて電界調節器を調節して、上記ノッキングの発生領域、または該発生領域の近傍に電磁波プラズマを生成することを特徴とする内燃機関。
