Claims (7)
- 内燃機関の燃焼室へ放射する電磁波を発振する電磁波発振器と、
上記電磁波発振器から供給される電磁波を上記燃焼室へ放射するためのアンテナと、
上記内燃機関の運転状態に基づいて電磁波発振器を制御して、上記アンテナから燃焼室へ放射される電磁波により電磁波プラズマを生成する制御手段とを備えたプラズマ生成装置であって、
上記内燃機関は、燃焼室へ燃料を噴射するインジェクターを備え、
上記アンテナは、上記燃焼室の天井面又は壁面に複数設けられ、
上記燃焼室においてスワールが形成され、
上記複数のアンテナは、上記インジェクターの噴口からの燃料の噴射方向に沿って配列されているとともに、上記インジェクターの噴口から噴射方向に真っ直ぐ延びる線に対してスワールの流れ方向にずれた位置に配置され、
上記制御手段は、上記電磁波プラズマの生成期間に、電磁波を供給するアンテナを変化させて電磁波プラズマの位置を変化させることを特徴とするプラズマ生成装置。 - 請求項1に記載のプラズマ生成装置において、
上記制御手段は、上記電磁波プラズマの生成期間に、上記インジェクターにおける燃料の噴射条件に基づいて、上記噴口から噴射される噴流に接触させる電磁波プラズマの数を変化させることを特徴とするプラズマ生成装置。 - 請求項1に記載のプラズマ生成装置において、
上記制御手段は、上記内燃機関の過渡運転の際に、上記インジェクターからの燃料の噴射量の変化に応じて、電磁波発振器が出力する電磁波のエネルギーの大きさを変化させることを特徴とするプラズマ生成装置。 - 内燃機関の燃焼室へ放射する電磁波を発振する電磁波発振器と、
上記電磁波発振器から供給される電磁波を上記燃焼室へ放射するためのアンテナと、
上記内燃機関の運転状態に基づいて電磁波発振器を制御して、上記アンテナから燃焼室へ放射される電磁波により電磁波プラズマを生成する制御手段とを備えたプラズマ生成装置であって、
上記アンテナから放射される電磁波の波長を強制的に変化させて、上記電磁波プラズマの生成期間に電磁波プラズマの位置を変化させる調節手段を備えている
ことを特徴とするプラズマ生成装置。 - 請求項4に記載のプラズマ生成装置において、
上記調節手段は、形状が可変に構成されて、上記アンテナの表面の一部を覆う被覆部材であり、
上記電磁波プラズマの生成期間に上記被覆部材の形状が変化することで、上記アンテナの表面抵抗を変化させて、上記アンテナから放射される電磁波の波長を強制的に変化させることを特徴とするプラズマ生成装置。 - 請求項1乃至5の何れか1つに記載のプラズマ生成装置において、
上記電磁波プラズマの生成期間に上記燃焼室のガス流動の向きとは反対側へプラズマを移動させることを特徴とするプラズマ生成装置。 - 請求項1乃至6の何れか1つに記載のプラズマ生成装置において、
上記燃焼室において自由電子を強制的に放出させる電子放出手段を備え、
上記電子放出手段により強制的に自由電子を放出させると共に、上記アンテナから電磁波を放射することにより電磁波プラズマを生成することを特徴とするプラズマ生成装置。
