Claims (2)
- ビデオプレーヤと、
前記ビデオプレーヤから送信されたレターボックス形式のNTSC信号を受信して表示するモニタと、
を備え、
前記ビデオプレーヤは、
ビデオデータのアスペクト比が16:9であることを検出する検出手段と、
前記ビデオデータをレターボックス形式のNTSC信号として出力する場合に、垂直帰線区間の特定ラインにクローズドキャプション信号を付加するとともに、特定のダミーデータを設定する制御手段と、
を備え、
前記モニタは、
受信した前記NTSC信号の前記特定ラインにクローズドキャプション信号が付加されており、かつ、特定のダミーデータが設定されている場合に、前記レターボックス形式のNTSC信号から主映像の部分を拡大表示する手段
を備えることを特徴とするビデオシステム。 - 請求項1記載のビデオシステムにおいて、
前記特定のダミーデータは、スペースであることを特徴とするビデオシステム。
