Description
[実験例1.実験材料]
本発明の実験例では、吸着剤にゼオライト(Cosmo Fine chemical)を使用した。より具体的に、4A、Y、13X、ベータ(beta)の総4種類のゼオライトを比較して、エチレンに対する吸着性能が一番優秀な13Xを触媒の支持体(吸着剤)に使用した。前記13X(Molecular Sieve 13X)の比表面積は、約500m2/gであった。
本発明の実験例を通じてエチレン処理装置を利用して農産物貯蔵施設のエチレンを除去した。
エネルギー収率(energy yield)とは、処理されたエチレンの量/投入された電気エネルギーを意味する。32ppmのエチレンを500min間吸着/蓄積させたとき、総吸着量は、18.7mgであり、20min(1200sec)間のプラズマ/触媒分解段階に投入された電気エネルギーは、17W×1200sec=20400J(20.4kJ)である。したがって、エネルギー収率は、0.92mg/kJである。本発明と異なり32ppmのエチレンを17Wで500min間連続して処理したときのエネルギー収率は、0.037mg/kJである。
図6の(a)は、エチレンのFTIRスペクトラムであり、(b)は、吸着されたエチレンをプラズマ/触媒作用により処理した時のFTIRスペクトラムを示した図である。図6に示したように、エチレンに起因した有害副産物の生成はほとんどなかった。これはプラズマ―触媒複合作用によりエチレンの中間酸化物がCO2やCOに酸化されたことを意味する。

Claims (9)
- 流入口及び排出口が形成され、前記流入口によって農産物貯蔵施設に接続され、内部に吸着剤が充填されるプラズマ放電部;及び
前記プラズマ放電部の内部にプラズマを発生させる電極部;を含み、
前記吸着剤は、球形またはペレット形態に形成され、アルミナ、ゼオライトまたはこれらの混合物であり、
前記吸着剤は、触媒として酸化銀(Ag 2 O)が担持されており、
前記農産物貯蔵施設で発生したエチレンが、前記プラズマ放電部におけるプラズマ及び触媒の複合作用により繰り返し分解されることを特徴とするエチレン処理装置。 - 前記プラズマ放電部は、所定面積に導電領域が形成され、前記導電領域には、前記プラズマ放電部の外側表面を取り囲むように形成されたコイルがさらに含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエチレン処理装置。
- 前記コイルは、銅線、鉄線またはアルミニウム線からなり、接地電極を接触していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のエチレン処理装置。
- 前記プラズマ放電部は、石英管、ガラス管、アルミナ管またはセラミック管からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエチレン処理装置。
- 前記電極部は、前記プラズマ放電部の内部通路に延長され、前記プラズマ放電部と同一な軸の金属棒であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエチレン処理装置。
- 前記電極部は、前記プラズマ放電部に電力を供給してプラズマを発生させる電圧供給装置と連結されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエチレン処理装置。
- 前記触媒は、0.2〜10wt%の濃度で前記吸着剤に担持されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエチレン処理装置。
- 請求項1〜請求項7のうちいずれか1項によるエチレン処理装置を利用して、
(a)前記吸着剤が充填されたプラズマ放電部内にエチレンを含有したガスを注入する段階;
(b)前記電極部に電圧を印加し、前記プラズマ放電部内にプラズマを発生させて注入されたエチレンを分解する段階;及び
(c)前記プラズマ放電部を冷却させる段階;を含むことを特徴とするエチレン処理方法。 - 前記エチレンを分解する段階は、前記プラズマ放電部内に酸素を流入させる段階;及び
前記エチレンは前記酸素と反応して二酸化炭素と水蒸気に酸化される段階:を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のエチレン処理方法。
