第1の光カプラの出力のうちの少なくとも1つに結合される第2の光カプラと
を備え、第1の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比が第2の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比よりも小さい。
Claims (8)
- 少なくとも2つの出力を有する第1の光カプラと、
前記第1の光カプラの出力のうちの少なくとも1つに結合される第2の光カプラと
を備え、前記第1の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比が前記第2の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比よりも小さく、
前記第1の光カプラの入力に結合されるレーザ光源をさらに備え、
前記光源は少なくとも第1のレーザチャネル及び第2のレーザチャネルを含み、前記第1の光カプラは少なくとも第1の入力及び第2の入力を含み、前記第1のレーザチャネル及び前記第2のレーザチャネルは前記第1の入力及び前記第2の入力にそれぞれ結合され、前記第1の入力及び前記第2の入力のうち、一方はメイン入力として用いられ、残る一方は予備入力として用いられ、
前記第1の光カプラはMMIカプラであり、前記第1の入力及び前記第2の入力はテーパ形状を有し、前記メイン入力として用いられる入力のテーパ幅が、前記予備入力として用いられる入力のテーパ幅よりも大きい、光回路。 - 前記第1の光カプラと前記第2の光カプラとが光導波路を介して結合され、前記第1の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比R1、前記第1の光カプラの光学損失α1、前記第1の光カプラの分岐損失β1、前記第2の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比R2及び前記光導波路の伝搬損失γが、
(R2−R1)≦2(α1+β1+γ)
を満たす請求項1に記載の光回路。 - 前記第1の光カプラ及び前記第2の光カプラはMMIカプラである請求項1又は2に記載の光回路。
- 前記第1の光カプラを構成するMMIカプラの幅が前記第2の光カプラを構成するMMIカプラの幅よりも小さい請求項3に記載の光回路。
- 前記第2の光カプラは複数の出力を有する請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の光回路。
- 前記第1の光カプラの入力に結合されるレーザ光源をさらに備え、
前記レーザ光源と前記第1の光カプラとの間の光路長aが、
- 少なくとも2つの出力を有する第1の光カプラと、
前記第1の光カプラの出力のうちの少なくとも1つに結合される第2の光カプラと
を備え、前記第1の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比が前記第2の光カプラの入力光に対する反射光の強度比よりも小さく、
前記第1の光カプラの入力に結合されるレーザ光源をさらに備え、
前記光源は少なくとも第1のレーザチャネル及び第2のレーザチャネルを含み、前記第1の光カプラは少なくとも第1の入力及び第2の入力を含み、前記第1のレーザチャネル及び前記第2のレーザチャネルは前記第1の入力及び前記第2の入力にそれぞれ結合され、前記第1の入力及び前記第2の入力のうち、一方はメイン入力として用いられ、残る一方は予備入力として用いられ、
前記第1の光カプラは前記第1の入力と前記第2の入力との間の中心線に対して非対称な形状を有する光回路。 - 前記第1の光カプラは方向性結合器である請求項7に記載の光回路。
