Description
あって、このガスケットが少なくとも一つの貫通孔を有する環状部と、この環状部の外周縁に接する本体部とからなり、前記環状部は筒状の前記金属線編物が管軸方向に圧縮された状態で環状をなし、前記本体部は筒状の前記金属線編物が径方向に圧縮された状態で板状をなすと共に所定の位置の編目が広がってなる配置孔を有し、前記配置孔に前記環状部が配置されて、前記環状部を構成する金属線編物及び前記本体部を構成する金属線編物の金属線が互いに交絡してその環状部とその本体部とが接合してなると共に、前記環状部を構成する金属線どうしの間の隙間が樹脂により密封されていることを特徴とするものである。

共に、第一環状部31の金属線20どうしの間の隙間を樹脂25により密封する。それ故、ガスケット30として金属線編物21〜23による圧縮応力を利用しつつ、シール対象孔35周りのシール性を確実に確保することができる。これにより、複数の金属板を積層させた従来のガスケットに比して、シール性を確保しつつ、面圧を維持するには有利になり、耐久性を向上することができる。
ストマニホールド用のガスケットやシリンダヘッドガスケットなど、シール対象孔35を複数有しているガスケットにも適用可能である。なお、シリンダヘッドガスケットにおいては、シリンダボア以外の水穴や油穴に対応した環状部を製造するとよい。

Claims (4)
- 金属線編物からなるガスケットであって、このガスケットが少なくとも一つの貫通孔を有する環状部と、この環状部の外周縁に接する本体部とからなり、前記環状部は筒状の前記金属線編物が管軸方向に圧縮された状態で環状をなし、前記本体部は筒状の前記金属線編物が径方向に圧縮された状態で板状をなすと共に所定の位置の編目が広がってなる配置孔を有し、
前記配置孔に前記環状部が配置されて、前記環状部を構成する金属線編物及び前記本体部を構成する金属線編物の金属線が互いに交絡してその環状部とその本体部とが接合してなると共に、前記環状部を構成する金属線どうしの間の隙間が樹脂により密封されていることを特徴とするガスケット。 - 前記樹脂がフッ素樹脂である請求項1に記載のガスケット。
- 前記環状部を構成する金属線編物の厚さ方向の圧縮応力が前記本体部を構成する金属線編物の厚さ方向の圧縮応力と異なっている請求項1又は2に記載のガスケット。
- 金属線と樹脂繊維又は樹脂糸とから筒状の金属線編物を編み、この筒状の金属線編物を筒軸方向に押し潰して環状部を形成し、
金属線から他の筒状の金属線編物を編み、この他の筒状の金属線編物を径方向に押し潰して本体部を形成し、
得られた前記本体部の所定の位置に配置穴を形成し、その配置穴に前記環状部を配置し、
前記本体部及び前記環状部を熱間圧縮により一体化することを特徴とするガスケットの製造方法。
