Description
図1を参照すると、無線充電システムは、無線電力送信器100と無線電力受信器110−1、110−2、及び110−nとを含む。無線電力送信器100は、無線電力受信器110−1、110−2、及び110−nに電力1−1、1−2、及び1−nのそれぞれを無線で送信する。より詳細には、無線電力送信器100は、所定の認証手順を実行することにより電力1−1、1−2、及び1−nを認証された無線電力受信器のみに無線で送信する。
図3を参照すると、無線電力送信器は、ステップS301において、無線電力送信器の近傍に位置した物体を検出する。例えば、ロードの変更を検出する場合に、無線電力送信器は、新たな物体が無線電力送信器の近傍に位置するか否かを判定する。あるいは、無線電力送信器は、電圧、電流、位相、温度などに基づいて近傍の物体を検出する。
図4Aを参照すると、無線電力送信器は、駆動電圧VDDを受信する入力端401を含む。コイル402の第1の端は、入力端401に接続され、コイル402の第2の端は、ノード403に接続され、ノード403には、フィールド効果トランジスタ(FET)素子404の一端、コイル406の一端、及びキャパシタ405の一端が接続される。FET素子404の他端は、接地される。また、キャパシタ405の他端も接地される。コイル406の他端は、キャパシタ407の一端に接続される。キャパシタ407の第2の端は、キャパシタ410の一端及びコイル412の一端に接続されるフィルタ409に接続される。キャパシタ410の他端は接地される。
あるいは、無線電力送信器は、電圧値又は電流値に基づいて近傍の新たな物体又は物体の不在を判定する。
図4Bにおいて、測定の開始から時点t1まで無線電力送信器の一地点で測定された電流値は、‘a’である。時点t1の後に、測定された電流値は、‘b’である。図4Bのグラフからわかるように、電流値は、時点t1において、‘a’から‘b’への突然の変更を有する。また、無線電力送信器は、突然の変更を検出することにより無線電力送信器の近傍の新たな物体又は近傍の前の物体の不在を判定できる。
図4Dを参照すると、無線電力送信器の一地点で測定された温度は線形的に増加する。特に、特定の時点t1まで無線電力送信器の一地点で測定された温度が‘e’のスロープで増加する。時点t1の後に、温度が‘f’のスロープで増加する。図4Dからわかるように、温度に対する増加スロープは、時点t1において、‘e’から‘f’に突然に変更される。また、無線電力送信器は、突然の変更を検出することにより無線電力送信器の近傍の新たな物体又は近傍の前の物体の不在を判定できる。
図4Eを参照すると、特定の時点まで無線電力送信器の一地点での電圧421及び電流422は、相互に重ならない。特定の時点の後に、無線電力送信器の一地点での位相が変更されるので、電圧421及び電流422が一部重なることがある。電圧421及び電流422が一部重なることにより電力損失が発生する。すなわち、無線電力送信器は、電力損失を検出することにより突然の位相変更を検出する。無線電力送信器は、突然の変更を検出することにより、近傍の新たな物体又は近傍の前の物体の不在を判定する。
図5を参照すると、無線電力送信器の制御部(TX MCU)501は、ステップS510において、通信を実行するチャネル及びネットワークIDを決定する。例えば、無線電力送信器は、IEEE802.15.4方式でのチャネル11、15、20、及び24の中のいずれか1つを通信チャネルとして設定する。また、無線電力送信器は、通信チャネル内の他の無線電力送信器503と重複されないようにネットワークIDを設定する。
図6Aを参照すると、無線電力送信器の制御部650は、ステップS601において、予め定められた期間ごとに検出電力602を印加することによりロードの変更を検出する。また、通信部660は、ステップS603において、予め定められた期間ごとに通知信号を送信する。図6Aにおいて、無線電力送信器の制御部650は、ステップS601において、ロードの突然の変更を検出しない。
図18を参照すると、装置制御テーブルは、無線電力受信器のそれぞれのセッションID、製造社ID、製品ID、ロード特性、電流特性、電圧特性、効率特性、現在の状態、無線電力受信器の直流(DC)/DC変換器の前端での電圧、無線電力受信器のDC/DC変換器の後端での電圧、及び無線電力受信器のDC/DC変換器の後端での電流の情報などを管理するために使用される。ここで、現在の状態は、無線電力受信器が充電が完了した後に待機状態にあるか、無線電力受信器が充電電力の不足により待機状態にあるか、無線電力受信器が定電圧(constant voltage:CV)モードで充電中であるか、又は無線電力受信器が定電流(constant current:CC)モードで充電中であるかを示す。
通信部680は、ステップS621において、第1のチャネルを用いて検索信号を送信する。通信部660は、検索信号を受信し、制御部650は、ステップS622において、検索信号に基づいて図18に示す装置制御テーブルをアップデートする。また、制御部650は、検索信号に対応する探索応答信号を生成する。
この後に、無線電力送信器及び受信器は、加入された状態に進入する。
例えば、加入要請信号は、表6に示すようなデータ構造を有する。
無線電力送信器のネットワーク識別子を示す‘ネットワークID’フィールドは、例えば、1バイトが割り当てられ、命令のタイプを示す‘命令タイプ’フィールドは、例えば、4ビットが割り当てられ、命令信号を補充する可変(Variable)フィールドは、例えば、4ビットが割り当てられる。
追加で、対応する信号の順次的な順序を示す‘シーケンス番号’フィールドは、例えば、1バイトが割り当てられる。シーケンス番号は、例えば、信号の送受信ステップに応じて増加する。
図7を参照すると、無線電力送信器は、ステップS701において、ロードの変更の検出のための検出電力を周期的に出力する。ロードの変更が検出されない(ステップS703においてNo)場合に、無線電力送信器は、ステップS701において、周期的に検出電力を継続して出力する。しかしながら、ロードの変更が検出される(ステップS703においてYes)場合に、無線電力送信器は、ステップS705において、無線電力受信器との通信のための駆動電力を出力する。例えば、駆動電力は、無線電力受信器の制御部を駆動させることができる電力の量である。
図8Aを参照すると、無線電力送信器の制御部801は、ステップS811及びS815において、検出電力812を周期的に出力し、ロード検出を実行し、ステップS813及びS816において、周期的に通知信号を送信する。
追加で、ステップS828乃至S830において、通信部803は、チャネルを変更することにより無線電力送信器検索信号及び無線電力送信器検索応答信号を送信し、関連情報を記憶する。
制御部801は、ロードが最初のロードにリターンしたか否かに基づいて無線電力受信器を除去するか否かを判定する。
図9Aを参照すると、無線電力送信器は、充電電力900を無線電力受信器に出力する。ステップS911において、無線電力送信器の通信部902は、通知信号を送信する。無線電力受信器は、通知信号内の‘報告対象Rx(スケジュールマスク)’フィールドを識別することにより通信を実行するか否かを判定する。
図12を参照すると、無線電力送信器が第1の無線電力受信器1103だけを管理する場合に、全スーパーフレームサイクル(super-frame cycle)の半分を第1の無線電力受信器1103との通信のための時間1201として割り当て、残りの半分をコンテンション期間(contention period)1202として割り当てる。ここで、コンテンション期間は、通信が実行されない場合のために割り当てられた期間であり得る。
図13を参照すると、無線電力送信器は、ステップS1301において、報告信号を要請する命令信号を送信する。報告信号を受信できない場合に、無線電力送信器は、次のスーパーフレームサイクルで報告信号の受信を待機する。次の3回のスーパーフレームサイクルの間に報告信号を受信できない(ステップS1305においてYes)場合に、無線電力送信器は、ステップS1307において、無線電力受信器が除去されると判定する。ステップS1309において、無線電力送信器は、電力送信の前に無線電力受信器を充電するための充電電力を減少させる。
図14を参照すると、無線電力送信器が2個の無線電力受信器を管理する場合には、無線電力送信器は、全スーパーフレームサイクルを2つの部分に等分し、これらを第1の無線電力受信器との通信のための期間1404、第2の無線電力受信器との通信のための期間1402、及びコンテンション期間1403にそれぞれ割り当てる。しかしながら、例えば、第2の無線電力受信器が除去される場合に、図14に示すように、無線電力送信器は、全スーパーフレームサイクルを2つの部分に等分し、これらを第1の無線電力受信器との通信のための期間1404及びコンテンション期間1405にそれぞれ割り当てる。
図15において、無線電力送信器は、第1乃至第3の無線電力受信器を管理する。したがって、無線電力送信器は、1、2、及び3のセッションIDを第1乃至第3の無線電力受信器にそれぞれ割り当てる。その後に、第2の無線電力受信器が除去されると判定される場合には、無線電力送信器は、第2の無線電力受信器のために割り当てられたセッションIDを装置制御テーブルから削除する。無線電力送信器は、図15に示すように、第2の無線電力受信器のセッションIDを第3の無線電力受信器に割り当てる。他方、無線電力送信器は、図15に示すように、第3の無線電力受信器が既存のセッションIDを保持するように管理する。

Claims (8)
- 無線電力送信器であって、
電力送信部と、
通信部と、
制御部と、を含み、
前記制御部は、
前記無線電力送信器に対応する無線電力ネットワークに無線電力受信器を加入させて、
前記電力送信部に、前記無線電力受信器を充電するための充電電力が印加されるように制御し、
前記電力送信部のロード変更、前記電力送信部の電圧の変更及び前記電力送信部の電流の変更の中の少なくとも一つを検出し、
前記電力送信部のロード変更、前記電力送信部の電圧の変更及び前記電力送信部の電流の変更の中の少なくとも一つの検出と、前記通信部の前記無線電力受信器からの通信信号の受信失敗に応答して、前記無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去する無線電力送信器。 - 前記制御部は、すでに設定された時間以内に前記通信回路の受信を失敗すると、前記無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去する請求項1に記載の無線電力送信器。
- 前記制御部は、無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去した以後に、前記無線電力ネットワークに加入した無線電力受信器がないと、物体の配置により発生される他のロード変更を検出するための検出電力が前記電力送信部に印加されるように制御する 請求項1に記載の無線電力送信器。
- 前記制御部は、無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去することに応答して、前記電力送信部に印加される前記充電電力のサイズを調整する請求項1に記載の無線電力送信器。
- 無線電力送信器の制御方法であって、
前記無線電力送信器に対応する無線電力ネットワークに無線電力受信器を加入させる動作と、
前記無線電力送信器の電力送信部に前記無線電力受信器を充電するための充電電力を印加する動作と、
前記電力送信部のロード変更、前記電力送信部の電圧の変更及び前記電力送信部の電流の変更の中の少なくとも一つを検出する動作と、
前記電力送信部のロード変更、前記電力送信部の電圧の変更及び前記電力送信部の電流の変更の中の少なくとも一つの検出と、前記無線電力送信器の通信部の前記無線電力受信器からの通信信号の受信失敗に応答して、前記無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去する動作と、を含む無線電力送信器の制御方法。 - 前記無線電力受信器を除去する動作は、すでに設定された時間以内に前記通信回路の受信を失敗すると、前記無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去する請求項5に記載の無線電力送信器の制御方法。
- 無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去した以後に、前記無線電力ネットワークに加入した無線電力受信器がないと、物体の配置により発生される他のロード変更を検出するための検出電力を前記電力送信部に印加する動作をさらに含む請求項5に記載の無線電力送信器の制御方法。
- 無線電力送信器に対応する前記無線電力ネットワークから前記無線電力受信器を除去することに応答して、前記電力送信部に印加される前記充電電力のサイズを調整する動作をさらに含む請求項5に記載の無線電力送信器の制御方法。
