Abstract
Description
すなわち、特許文献1に記載されたエンジン始動システムおよび特許文献2に記載された車両搭載エンジンの始動装置では、停止しているエンジンのクランク軸に設けられたリングギヤに対してピニオンが噛み合いを行うため、従来の噛み合いと同等の衝撃を受けることになる。
そのため、発電電動機およびスタータの両方を用いたエンジンの併用クランキングにおいて、発電電動機およびスタータの回転開始タイミングを最適化することにより、噛み合い衝撃の低減による長寿命化やコスト削減、始動時間の短縮化を実現することができる。
図1は、この発明の実施の形態1に係るエンジン始動装置が搭載された車両の概略構成を示すブロック図である。図1において、エンジン1は、エンジン自動停止再始動制御のエンジン停止、またはエンジン再始動を判断する機能を含み、エンジン1の制御を行うエンジン制御装置5により駆動制御されている。以下、エンジン制御装置5のことをエンジンECU5と称する。
そのため、発電電動機2およびスタータ3の両方を用いたエンジンの併用クランキングにおいて、発電電動機2およびスタータ3の回転開始タイミングを最適化することにより、噛み合い衝撃の低減による長寿命化やコスト削減、始動時間の短縮化を実現することができる。
図2は、この発明の実施の形態1に係るエンジン始動装置のスタータ3を示す断面図である。図2において、スタータ3は、ピニオン31と、電磁スイッチ32と、ワンウェイクラッチ33と、モータ部34とを備えている。
Claims (4)
- エンジンのクランク軸に連結された発電電動機と、
前記クランク軸に設けられたリングギヤに着脱可能な状態で設けられて、前記エンジンの始動時に、前記リングギヤに噛合するピニオンを有するスタータと
を備え、
前記発電電動機および前記スタータの両方を用いた併用クランキングによるエンジン始動の条件が成立した場合に、前記発電電動機および前記スタータの両方の回転を開始させることで、前記発電電動機および前記スタータの両方で前記エンジンを併用クランキングし、
前記併用クランキングにおいて、前記発電電動機の回転開始以降に、前記スタータが回転を開始する
エンジン始動装置。 - 前記スタータは、前記ピニオンを前記リングギヤ側に押し出すピニオン押し出し機構を有し、
前記併用クランキングにおいて、前記ピニオン押し出し機構が前記ピニオンを押し出し、前記ピニオンが前記リングギヤに当接する時点以降に、前記発電電動機が回転を開始する
請求項1に記載のエンジン始動装置。 - 前記スタータは、前記スタータのモータ部に電力の供給を行うための電気接点を開閉する電磁スイッチを有し、
前記ピニオン押し出し機構が前記ピニオンを押し出し、前記ピニオンが前記リングギヤに当接する時点以降に、前記電気接点を閉路させて、前記スタータが回転を開始する
請求項2に記載のエンジン始動装置。 - 前記併用クランキングにおいて、前記発電電動機および前記スタータに、起動のための電気信号を同時に送信する
請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか1項に記載のエンジン始動装置。
