Description
ポリエチレンを製造するための本開示の方法は、エチレン重合触媒、ヘキサンまたはイソブタンなどの希釈剤、及び選択的に水素の存在下でエチレン、及び選択的に共単量体として一つまたは複数のC3〜C10アルファ−オレフィンのスラリー重合を含む。重合は、希釈剤、未反応エチレン及び選択的に1つまたは複数の共単量体を含む懸濁媒質から粒子状ポリエチレンの懸濁液中で進行する。本明細書に記載された工程により得られるポリエチレン重合体は、エチレン単独重合体または40重量%まで、より好ましくは0.1〜10重量%のC3−C10−1−アルケン由来の繰り返し単位を含有するエチレンの共重合体であってもよい。好ましくは、共単量体は、プロピレン、1−ブテン、1−ペンテン、1−ヘキセン、1−オクテン、またはそれらの混合物から選択される。スラリー重合は、60℃〜95℃、好ましくは65℃〜90℃、より好ましくは70℃〜85℃の反応器温度、及び0.15MPa〜3MPa、好ましくは0.2〜2MPa、より好ましくは0.25MPa〜1.5MPaの反応器圧力で行う。
重合は、すべての通常のエチレン重合触媒を使用して実行することができ、例えば、重合は、クロム酸化物をベースとするフィリップス触媒を使用して、チタン系チーグラータイプの触媒、すなわちチーグラー触媒またはチーグラー−ナッタ触媒を使用して、または単一活性点触媒を使用して行うことができる。本開示の目的のために、単一活性点触媒は化学的に均一な遷移金属配位化合物をベースとする触媒である。特に適した単一活性点触媒は、嵩高いシグマ−またはパイ−結合された有機配位子を含むこと、例えば、一般的にメタロセン触媒と呼ばれるモノ−Cp錯体をベースとする触媒、ビス−Cp錯体をベースにする触媒、または後期遷移金属錯体、特に鉄−ビスイミン錯体をベースとする触媒である。また、オレフィンの重合のためのこれら触媒の2つまたはそれ以上の混合物を使用することも可能である。このような混合された触媒は、ハイブリッド触媒と呼ばれる。オレフィン重合のためのこれら触媒の製造及び使用は、一般的に知られている。
Claims (13)
- 60℃〜95℃の温度及び0.15MPa〜3MPaの圧力でエチレン及び選択的に1つ以上のC3〜C10アルファ−オレフィンをスラリー重合させることにより、ポリエチレンを製造する方法であって、前記重合が円筒形反応器の壁、下端反応器ヘッド及び上端反応器ヘッドを有する円筒形の重合反応器内で行われ、前記反応器が内径Dを有し、反応器の内容物を混合して、スラリーの流れを誘導するための撹拌機を備え、前記エチレンが、前記下端反応器ヘッドを介して突出して反応器内に、内径Dの0.02倍〜0.5倍に延びるか又は反応器の3分の2より下に位置する壁通過位置で円筒形反応器の壁を介して突出して反応器内に内径Dの0.02倍〜0.48倍延びる1つ以上の注入ノズルを含むエチレン注入システムによって反応器内に供給され、前記注入ノズルの排出口が撹拌機の下の位置に配置され、前記エチレンが10m/s〜200m/sの排出速度で注入ノズルから出てくる方法。
- 前記下端反応器ヘッドを介して、または前記反応器の壁を介して突出する注入ノズルは、反応器内への方向を有し、傾いたエチレン排出口が排出口先端及び排出口ベースを有し、前記注入ノズルの方向と排出口先端及び排出口ベースを連結するラインとの間の角度が20°〜80°であり、前記エチレン排出口の傾きがスラリーの流れに対して排出口先端が、前記スラリーの流れに対して上流位置にあり、排出口ベースが下流位置にあるように配向される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記撹拌機は、モータ、反応器内の中心に位置する垂直回転シャフト、及び前記回転シャフトに取り付けられた1つ以上の段の撹拌機ブレードを含み;前記撹拌機が撹拌機シャフトの周囲の円形断面内のスラリーの垂直方向の流れを主に誘導する、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記円形断面内のスラリーの垂直の流れが下向きの流れである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上の注入ノズルが下端反応器ヘッドを介して突出して反応器内に、内径Dの0.04倍〜0.2倍垂直に延び、前記反応器の中心から注入ノズルの排出口までの水平距離は内径Dの0.1倍〜0.45倍である、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記エチレン注入システムは、少なくとも2つの注入ノズルを含み、すべての注入ノズルは、反応器の中心の周囲の円形ライン上に配置される、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記注入ノズルは、前記円形ライン上に均一に分布される、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上の注入ノズルは前記円筒形反応器の壁を介して突出し、前記注入ノズルは下に傾く、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記注入ノズル方向と水平との間の水平角が5°〜60°である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上の注入ノズルは前記円筒形反応器の壁を介して突出し、前記重合反応器内のスラリーの流れは、円形の成分を有し、前記注入ノズルが、前記円形の流れの下流方向に向かって傾く、請求項1、8及び9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記注入ノズルの方向と、前記壁通過点から反応器の中心まで伸びたラインとの間の放射状の角度が5°〜60°である、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記壁通過位置が反応器の同じ高さに配置され、反応器の周囲に均一に分布される、請求項1、8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記反応器は、複数の反応器重合システムの一つである、請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
