また、吸気側クリーニング制御では、吸気カム位相が所定の最進角値になるように制御され、通常制御の実行中に検出された吸気カム位相が所定の最進角値に達したときに、吸気側クリーニング制御の実行が禁止される。排気側クリーニング制御では、排気カム位相が所定の最遅角値になるように制御され、通常制御の実行中に検出された排気カム位相が所定の最遅角値に達したときに、排気側クリーニング制御の実行が禁止される。
(f1)アクセル開度APがアクセルペダルの全閉状態を示す値(例えば値0)であること。
(f2)エンジン回転数NEが所定回転数(例えば900rpm)以上であること。

Claims (4)
- 吸気弁を開閉する吸気カムのクランクシャフトに対する位相である吸気カム位相を変更する油圧駆動式の可変吸気カム位相機構と、排気弁を開閉する排気カムのクランクシャフトに対する位相である排気カム位相を変更する油圧駆動式の可変排気カム位相機構と備えた内燃機関において、前記可変吸気カム位相機構及び前記可変排気カム位相機構を介して、前記吸気カム位相及び前記排気カム位相を制御する内燃機関の制御装置であって、
前記吸気弁と前記排気弁のバルブオーバーラップ期間が増大するように、前記吸気カム位相を進角側に制御する吸気側クリーニング制御を実行する吸気側クリーニング制御手段と、
前記吸気弁と前記排気弁のバルブオーバーラップ期間が増大するように、前記排気カム位相を遅角側に制御する排気側クリーニング制御を実行する排気側クリーニング制御手段と、
前記内燃機関の運転状態に応じて、前記吸気側クリーニング制御手段による前記吸気側クリーニング制御と、前記排気側クリーニング制御手段による前記排気側クリーニング制御との一方を選択して実行させるとともに、他方を禁止する選択禁止手段と、を備え、
前記吸気側クリーニング制御では、前記吸気カム位相が所定の最進角値になるように制御され、前記排気側クリーニング制御では、前記排気カム位相が所定の最遅角値になるように制御され、
前記吸気カム位相を検出する吸気カム位相検出手段と、
前記排気カム位相を検出する排気カム位相検出手段と、
前記吸気側クリーニング制御及び前記排気側クリーニング制御が実行されていないときに、前記内燃機関の運転状態に応じて前記吸気カム位相及び前記排気カム位相を制御する通常制御を実行する通常制御手段と、
前記通常制御の実行中に検出された吸気カム位相が前記所定の最進角値に達したときに、前記吸気側クリーニング制御の実行を禁止する吸気側クリーニング制御禁止手段と、
前記通常制御の実行中に検出された排気カム位相が前記所定の最遅角値に達したときに、前記排気側クリーニング制御の実行を禁止する排気側クリーニング制御禁止手段と、をさらに備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記吸気側クリーニング制御の実行中に検出された前記吸気カム位相が前記所定の最進角値に達したときに、前記吸気側クリーニング制御を実行済みであると判定する吸気側実行済み判定手段と、
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記排気側クリーニング制御の実行中に検出された前記排気カム位相が前記所定の最遅角値に達したときに、前記排気側クリーニング制御を実行済みであると判定する排気側実行済み判定手段と、
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記吸気側クリーニング制御及び前記排気側クリーニング制御は、前記内燃機関の減速フューエルカット運転中に実行され、
当該減速フューエルカット運転中、前記内燃機関の気筒内における内部EGR量の推定値である推定内部EGR量を算出する推定内部EGR量算出手段と、
前記減速フューエルカット運転が終了した以降、前記算出された推定内部EGR量を用いて、前記内燃機関の運転状態を制御する運転状態制御手段と、
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
