Description
次に、電線温度推定部24における電線温度の推定処理について説明する。初めに、上昇温度の算出について説明する。負荷RLに接続される電線に電流が流れることによる発熱に伴う電線の発熱量X1は、次の(1)式で示すことができる。
ここで、(1)式に示すiは電流[A]、Ronは導体の抵抗[Ω]、Δtはサンプリング時間[sec]である。
ここで、Qは電線の単位長さ当たりの熱量、Cthは電線の熱容量、Rthは電線の熱抵抗、Δtはサンプリング時間である。そして、放熱量Y1を熱容量で除して得られる温度(下降温度)を減算することにより、現在の電線の推定温度T1を求めることができる。
次に、上述のように構成された本実施形態に係る通電回路の保護装置の、通常動作時の作用について説明する。操作スイッチSWがオンとされ、端子N1よりオン指令信号が入力されると、このオン指令信号は入力判定制御部21にて、オン指令を示すスイッチ入力信号としてアンド回路26の一方の入力端子に供給される。また、通常動作時には、異常判定部25は温度異常信号を出力しておらず、出力信号は「H」レベルとなるので、アンド回路26の出力信号は「H」レベルとなり、端子N2より「H」レベルの信号が出力される。そして、この信号は半導体リレー回路11の端子N11に供給される。
次に、負荷RLがオフとされた後に制御回路12をスリープモードへ移行させる際の動作を、図2に示すフローチャート、及び図3に示すタイミングチャートを参照して説明する。この処理は、スリープタイマ制御部22及びスリープ制御部23により実行される。

Claims (1)
- 車両に搭載され、通電回路に含まれる電線の温度を監視し、前記電線の温度が予め設定した閾値温度を上回った際に、前記通電回路を遮断して通電回路を保護する通電回路の保護装置において、
前記通電回路の導通、遮断を切り替えるスイッチ手段と、
入力信号に応じて前記スイッチ手段に切り替え指令信号を出力する駆動制御手段と、
前記通電回路に流れる電流を検出する電流検出手段と、を備え、
前記駆動制御手段は、
前記スイッチ手段がオンの場合には、前記電流検出手段にて検出される電流値と、通電時間に基づいて前記電線の上昇温度を推定し、前記スイッチ手段がオフの場合には、経過時間に基づいて前記電線の下降温度を推定し、前記上昇温度と下降温度に基づいて、前記電線の温度を推定する温度推定手段と、
前記スイッチ手段のオフ後の経過時間を測定する計時手段と、
前記計時手段にて予め設定した所定時間(Q1)の経過が測定された際に、前記駆動制御手段を通常動作時よりも消費電力が少なく、且つ、前記電線の温度推定を停止する低消費電力モードに切り替えるモード切替手段と、を有し、
前記電線の少なくとも一部は、車両のエンジンより発せられる高温の空気により加熱され、
前記所定時間を、車両のイグニッションがオフとされてエンジンルーム内の強制空冷が停止することにより、前記高温の空気により加熱される電線の温度が、周囲温度に達するのに要する十分な時間に設定すること
を特徴とする通電回路の保護装置。
