Description
Claims (6)
- 燃料噴射弁(24)により内燃機関(10)の燃焼室(14)内に噴射される燃料の噴霧の広がり角度を検出する検出装置(30)であって、
前記機関には、前記燃焼室内にスワールを形成するスワール形成手段(27)が設けられており、
前記スワール形成手段により前記燃焼室内にスワールを形成させた状態において、前記燃料噴射弁により時間間隔をあけて燃料を複数回噴射させる所定制御を実行する制御実行手段と、
前記制御実行手段により前記所定制御が実行される際に、複数回噴射された前記燃料の噴霧が互いに重なり合う状態に基づいて前記噴霧の広がり角度を検出する角度検出手段と、
前記燃料噴射弁により前記燃料が噴射されてから着火するまでの着火遅れ期間を検出する期間検出手段と、
を備え、
前記角度検出手段は、前記期間検出手段により検出された前記着火遅れ期間を用いて、前記噴霧の広がり角度を検出し、
前記制御実行手段は、前記期間検出手段により検出された前記着火遅れ期間が所定期間よりも長い場合に、前記燃料が複数回噴射される時間間隔を短縮することを特徴とする燃料噴霧の広がり角度検出装置。 - 前記機関には、前記燃料噴射弁により噴射される燃料の圧力である噴射圧を算出する噴射圧算出手段(30、46)が設けられており、
前記角度検出手段は、前記噴射圧算出手段により算出された前記噴射圧を用いて、前記噴霧の広がり角度を検出する請求項1に記載の燃料噴霧の広がり角度検出装置。 - 前記燃焼室内のガスの密度を算出するガス密度算出手段を備え、
前記角度検出手段は、前記ガス密度算出手段により算出された前記ガスの密度を用いて、前記噴霧の広がり角度を検出する請求項1又は2に記載の燃料噴霧の広がり角度検出装置。 - 前記スワールの速度を算出する速度算出手段を備え、
前記角度検出手段は、前記速度算出手段により算出された前記スワールの速度を用いて、前記噴霧の広がり角度を検出する請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料噴霧の広がり角度検出装置。 - 前記角度検出手段は、前記燃料が複数回噴射される時間間隔を用いて、前記噴霧の広がり角度を検出する請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の燃料噴霧の広がり角度検出装置。
- 前記機関には、前記燃料噴射弁により前記燃焼室内に噴射される燃料と前記燃焼室内のガスとの混合気の混合比を変更する混合比変更手段(52)が設けられており、
前記燃料を燃焼させる噴射方向の目標距離を設定する目標距離設定手段と、
前記目標距離設定手段により設定された前記目標距離での前記混合気の目標混合比を設定する目標混合比設定手段と、
前記燃料噴射弁により噴射された燃料の運動量が前記混合気の運動量として保存されることに基づいて、前記角度検出手段により検出された前記噴霧の広がり角度を用いて、前記目標距離設定手段により設定された前記目標距離での前記混合気の混合比を推定する混合比推定手段と、
前記混合比推定手段により推定された前記目標距離での前記混合比が、前記目標混合比設定手段により設定された前記目標混合比となるように、前記混合比変更手段を制御する混合比制御手段と、
を備える請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の燃料噴霧の広がり角度検出装置。
