Description
Claims (8)
- 燃料噴射弁(24)の噴射孔(24a)から内燃機関(10)の燃焼室(14)内に噴射される燃料の燃焼時に生じるすすの排出量を推定するすす排出量推定装置(30)であって、
前記燃焼室内の圧力を検出する圧力センサ(43)と、
前記噴射孔から噴射された燃料の運動量が前記燃料と前記燃焼室内のガスとの混合気の運動量として保存されることに基づいて、前記機関のクランク角度(θ)に対する前記燃料の噴射方向への到達距離(x(θ))を推定する到達距離推定手段と、
前記圧力センサにより検出された前記圧力に基づいて、前記クランク角度に対する前記燃料の燃焼による熱発生率(ROHR(θ))を推定する熱発生率推定手段と、
前記クランク角度に対する前記混合気の酸素濃度(Co2(θ))を推定する酸素濃度推定手段と、
前記到達距離推定手段により推定された前記到達距離と、前記酸素濃度推定手段により推定された前記酸素濃度とに基づいて、前記クランク角度に対する前記混合気の混合比(φ(θ))を推定する混合比推定手段と、
前記熱発生率推定手段により推定された前記熱発生率と、前記混合比推定手段により推定された前記混合比とに基づいて、前記すすの排出量を推定する排出量推定手段と、
を備えることを特徴とするすす排出量推定装置。 - 前記酸素濃度推定手段は、前記熱発生率推定手段により推定された前記熱発生率に基づいて、前記酸素濃度を低下させるようにして前記酸素濃度を推定する請求項1に記載のすす排出量推定装置。
- 前記クランク角度に基づいて、前記噴射孔から前記燃焼室の壁面までの壁面距離(Lwl(θ))を推定する壁面距離推定手段を備え、
前記排出量推定手段は、前記到達距離推定手段により推定された前記到達距離と、前記壁面距離推定手段により推定された前記壁面距離とに基づいて、前記壁面に衝突したと判定した燃料の燃焼における前記すすの排出量を増加させるように補正する第1排出量補正手段を備える請求項1又は2に記載のすす排出量推定装置。 - 前記燃料噴射弁には前記噴射孔が複数形成されており、
前記クランク角度に基づいて、互いに隣り合う前記噴射孔から噴射された燃料が前記燃焼室の壁面を介して互いに干渉するまでの干渉距離を推定する干渉距離推定手段を備え、
前記排出量推定手段は、前記到達距離推定手段により推定された前記到達距離と、前記干渉距離推定手段により推定された前記干渉距離とに基づいて、前記干渉したと判定した燃料の燃焼における前記すすの排出量を増加させるように補正する第2排出量補正手段を備える請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のすす排出量推定装置。 - 前記噴射孔から噴射される前記燃料の運動量が大きいほど、前記燃料の燃焼に用いられるガス量を多く推定するガス量推定手段を備え、
前記酸素濃度推定手段は、前記ガス量推定手段により推定された前記ガス量に基づいて、前記酸素濃度を推定する請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のすす排出量推定装置。 - 前記ガス量推定手段は、前記燃焼室内の全ガス量を前記燃料噴射弁に形成された前記噴射孔の数で割ったガス量を、1つの前記噴射孔から噴射された燃料の燃焼に用いられるガス量の上限値とする請求項5に記載のすす排出量推定装置。
- 前記排出量推定手段は、
前記混合比推定手段により推定された前記混合比が大きいほど、前記熱発生率推定手段により推定された前記熱発生率が大きいほど、前記すすの生成量を多く推定する生成量推定手段と、
前記混合比推定手段により推定された前記混合比が小さいほど、前記熱発生率推定手段により推定された前記熱発生率が大きいほど、前記燃焼室内の温度が高いほど、前記すすの再燃焼量を多く推定する再燃焼量推定手段と、を備え、
前記生成量推定手段により推定された前記すすの生成量から、前記再燃焼量推定手段により推定された前記すすの再燃焼量を引いて前記すすの排出量を推定する請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のすす排出量推定装置。 - 前記到達距離推定手段は、前記燃料噴射弁による前記燃料の噴射期間中に、前記噴射孔から噴射される前記燃料の初速度に基づき推定される全ての燃料の前記到達距離の最大値を、前記到達距離として推定する請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のすす排出量推定装置。
