Description
様々な態様では、長期間比較的安定している輸送特性を持った気相分離に好適なゼオライト結晶の形成方法が提供される。製油所セッティング、天然ガス処理セッティング、または他の商業的セッティングでは、工業的プロセスの望ましい特徴は、長期間比較的安定しているプロセスを有することであり得る。たとえば、スイング吸着プロセスについての安定性は、各サイクル中に同程度の結果を達成しながらおよび/またはサイクル間で予測可能な方法で変わる結果を達成しながら、スイング吸着プロセスが長期間繰り返され得ることを意味する。そのようなプロセスは、安定した方法で動作し、個々のプロセスサイクル中の予測可能性をおよび所望の結果を維持するために長期間プロセスを修正する方法の予測可能性を両方とも潜在的に可能にすることができる。様々な実施形態では、本明細書に記載されるプロセスは、膜分離プロセスならびにスイング吸着分離プロセスに使用されるゼオライトに適用できるものであり得る。
本発明は、膜ならびにスイング吸着プロセスに適用することができる。膜は、吸着剤材料から形成することができる。たとえば、水熱合成プロセスはゼオライト膜を製造することができる。ゼオライトはまた、混合マトリックス膜中へ組み込むことができる。膜分離プロセスにおいて、(典型的には気相での)供給物混合物のフローは、膜の一側面上に通すことができる。膜は、より低い圧力にあるかパージされているかのどちらかであり得る、膜の反対側に、ある化学種を選択的に輸送することができる。膜を通って優先的に輸送される化学種は重質成分と言われ、供給物側に優先的に保持される化学種は軽質成分と言われる(それらの相対分子質量にかかわらず)。膜を通しての分子の輸送速度は、速度論および平衡吸着によって測定することができる。非骨組アルカリ金属原子/カチオンを排除することによる平衡吸着特性の変化の軽減は、膜の動作特性の変化を減らすことができる。動作特性の変化としては、膜を通しての流束および軽質成分の回収率を挙げることができるが、それらに必ずしも限定されない。これらの特性の経時変化は一般に、膜分離プロセスにおいて望ましくないものであり得る。
用語「吸着接触器」は、本明細書で用いるところでは、構造化吸着接触器および非構造化吸着接触器を両方とも含む。吸着接触器は、供給ガスが吸着剤と接触させられるスイング吸着ユニットの一部である。TSAプロセスにおいて、接触器は、加熱チャネルおよび冷却チャネルなどの、吸着剤を加熱するおよび冷却する手段を含有してもよい。各接触器は、1つ以上の吸着床を含有することができる。床は、吸着剤を含有する接触器のセクションまたは部分である。各床は、単一の吸着剤または異なる吸着剤の混合物を含有することができる。接触器中のすべての床が同じ吸着剤を含有しなければならないわけではない。
本明細書に記載される分離法は、様々な気相供給物に関して分離を行うために用いることができる。気相供給物の一例としては、石油生産サイトで生成する天然ガス供給物などの、天然ガス供給物もしくは流れ、またはガス田もしくはシェールガス層からの天然ガス供給物もしくは流れが挙げられる。天然ガス供給物は典型的には、メタン、任意選択的にC2〜C4炭化水素などのいくつかのより大きい炭化水素、CO2、ならびに任意選択的にN2、H2S、H2O、およびメルカプタンなどの1つ以上の追加の成分を含有する。天然ガス供給物はまた、生産サイトで天然ガスを抽出するためのプロセスの一環として導入された1つ以上の物質を含有する可能性がある。そのような物質の非限定的な例としては、エチレングリコールなどのグリコール、メチルジエチルアミンなどのアミン、ジメチルジスルフィド、およびそれらの組み合わせを挙げることができる。
分離を行う一方法は、気相流れの1つ以上の成分を優先的にまたは選択的に吸着することができる吸着材にインプット流を曝すことであり得る。例として、吸着材は、CH4と比べてCO2を選択的に吸着することができ、その結果、CO2およびCH4を含有する供給物ガス流が吸着材に曝される場合に、CO2が選択的に吸着され、CH4に富むアウトプット流をもたらすことができる。しばらくすると、吸着材は、CO2に富む流れを生み出すことができる、PSA、RCPSA、TSA、RCTSA、および/またはPPSAなどのプロセスにおいて吸着された化合物を解放することによって再生することができる。
ZSM−58は、アルカリもしくはアルカリ土類金属(M)カチオン源;アルミニウムの酸化物;ケイ素の酸化物;ハライド、ヒドロキシド、またはサルフェートなどのメチルトロピニウム塩の有機カチオン(R);および水を含有する反応混合物から調製することができる。たとえば、ZSM−58を形成するための反応混合物は、水酸化ナトリウム(NaOH)、アルミン酸ナトリウム(NaAlO3)、酸化ケイ素(SiO2)、ヨウ化メチルトロピニウム(潜在的にMTIと言われる)、および水(H2O)を含むことができる。反応混合物中の様々な成分についての好適なモル比としては、50〜1500などの、1〜2500のSiO2とAl2O3とのモル比(又はAl2O3に対するSiO2のモル比);10〜100などの、5〜200のH2OとSiO2とのモル比(又はSiO2に対するH2Oのモル比);0.01〜2.0または0.1〜1.0などの、0〜2.0のOH−とSiO2とのモル比(又はSiO2に対するOH−のモル比);0.10〜1.0などの、0.01〜3.0のアルカリ/アルカリ土類金属(M)とSiO2とのモル比(又はSiO2に対するアルカリ/アルカリ土類金属(M)のモル比);および0.10〜1.0または0.10〜0.50などの、0.01〜2.0の有機カチオン(R)とSiO2とのモル比(又はSiO2に対する有機カチオン(R)のモル比)を挙げることができる。任意選択的に、結果として生じるゼオライト結晶のアルミナ含有量がゼロに近づくまたはゼロであるように、SiO2とAl2O3との(又はAl2O3に対するSiO2との)さらにより高いモル比が用いられてもよい。シリカとアルミナとのモル比は、本質的にSi/Al2モル比であり、それらの成分の他の非酸化物源が使用されてもよいけれども、それぞれ、SiO2およびAl2O3であるケイ素含有およびアルミニウム含有成分に基づいて計算できることが指摘される。

- DDR型ゼオライト結晶を含む吸着剤又は膜と、第1成分及び第2成分を含有するインプットガス流とを接触させて、前記インプットガス流と比べて、前記第1成分に富む第1ガス流を形成すること;及び
前記インプットガス流と比べて、前記第2成分に富む第2ガス流を集めること
を含む、ガス分離を行う方法であって、
前記DDR型ゼオライト結晶が、少なくとも0.01のアルカリ金属とシリカとの比を有する合成混合物を使用して合成され、前記吸着剤又は膜が、0.05重量%以下のアルカリ金属不純物含有量の結晶から構成され;合成したままの前記DDR型ゼオライト結晶が、少なくとも0.1重量%のアルカリ金属不純物含有量を有し、前記吸着剤又は膜を接触させる前に、前記DDR型ゼオライト結晶をアルカリ金属不純物除去プロセスに曝すことによって、前記アルカリ金属不純物含有量が低減される、ガス分離を行う方法であり、
