Claims (3)
- シリンダー内を往復動可能にクランクシャフトに接続されたピストンと、前記ピストンによって一部が形成された燃焼室と、前記シリンダーに対して固定されたバルブハウジング内を回転可能なロータリーバルブとを備え、該ロータリーバルブは、前記燃焼室の一部を形成する容積部を含むバルブ本体を有するとともに、前記ロータリーバルブの回転中に前記バルブハウジングの吸排気ポートを介して燃焼室への流体の流入及び燃焼室からの流体の流出を連続的に生じさせるポートを前記バルブ本体の壁部に有し、前記ロータリーバルブは、前記ロータリーバルブが軸方向に移動することを阻止するが径方向に移動することは許容するベアリング機構に取り付けられ、該ベアリング機構は、単一軌道輪ボールベアリングからなり、前記バルブ本体は、より小径の駆動シャフトと同軸上にあり、該駆動シャフトは、前記ロータリーバルブが径方向に移動することを許容するように前記単一軌道輪ボールベアリングの内輪との間に隙間を有して前記単一軌道輪ボールベアリングの内輪を貫通して延びており、前記バルブ本体と前記駆動シャフトとの間に形成された肩部は、燃焼圧力が正圧であるときに前記ロータリーバルブの軸方向移動を阻止するように前記内輪に当接し、前記駆動シャフトは前記バルブ本体から離れた前記内輪の側面を覆うフランジを有し、該フランジは前記シリンダに向かう前記ロータリーバルブの移動を阻止し、前記フランジと前記内輪との間には、前記ロータリーバルブが前記内輪との間に固定されないが内輪内で径方向に浮動できるように隙間を有する、ロータリーバルブ内燃エンジン。
- 請求項1に記載のロータリーバルブ内燃エンジンにおいて、前記シリンダー内の負圧の期間中に、前記ロータリーバルブが径方向に浮動することを許容しつつ前記シリンダーに向かう移動に抗して前記ロータリーバルブを付勢する弾性手段が前記フランジと前記内輪の前記側面との間に配置されている、ロータリーバルブ内燃エンジン。
- 請求項2に記載のロータリーバルブ内燃エンジンにおいて、前記弾性手段はOリングである、ロータリーバルブ内燃エンジン。
