Description
(実施例1)
(運搬部材の製造)
架橋可能なポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)基剤と硬化剤(Sylgard 184、Dow Corning)を重量比10:1で一緒に混合した。これらの要素を一緒に撹拌した。この混合物に、PDMS対パラフィン油の比率が2:1になるようにパラフィン油を加えた。粘性混合物が得られるまで、混合物を一緒に撹拌した。この混合物を円筒形の型に注入し、1時間脱気した。残りの型を並べ、PDMS:パラフィン混合物を実験室用強制換気オーブン中、60℃で3時間硬化させた。運搬ローラーを型から取り出し、印刷試験のためにCRUに組み込んだ。
(画像形成装置の製造)
実施例1にしたがって製造した運搬部材を、クリーニングブレードとBCR帯電ローラーとの間に空間をあけた状態でXerox DC250プリンタのCRUに組み込んだ。運搬ローラーは、感光体と直接接触していた。改変されたCRUは、低摩耗性オーバーコーティングされた感光体を含んでいた。
印刷試験:機械を試験する前に、感光体をAゾーン(28℃、85% RH)で平衡状態にしておいた。Xerox DC250プリンタを用い、Aゾーンで印刷試験を行ない、画質、特定的には、ハーフトーンと欠損を評価した。比較のために、図6からわかるように、感光体34の3分の2の部分54には、パラフィンのみを塗布し、塗布していない表面52をコントロールとして使用した。このことは、運搬部材56を感光体の幅の3分の2のみになるように製造し、CRUの内側に設置することによって達成した。運搬部材56は、感光体34と直接接触していた。印刷試験を125キロサイクル続け、2千枚印刷するごとに診断用印刷物を印刷した。良好な画質が示された。
Claims (5)
- 画像化部材と、運搬部材とを含む、画像形成装置で使用するための運搬部材システムであって、
前記画像化部材が
基材と、
前記基材の上に配置された画像化層と、
前記画像化層上に配置されたオーバーコート層とを含み、
前記運搬部材が、
支持部材と、
前記支持部材の上に配置されたエラストマーマトリックスとを備え、前記エラストマーマトリックスが、マトリックス内に分散した1つ以上の機能性材料を含み、
前記オーバーコート層が、熱硬化性樹脂とN,N’−ジフェニル−N,N’−ビス(3−ヒドロキシフェニル)−[1,1’−ビフェニル]−4,4’−ジアミン(DHTBD)とを含み、
前記機能性材料がパラフィン油であって、前記エラストマーマトリックスから送達されて前記画像化部材に転移され、前記オーバーコート層の表面上に外側層を形成して、前記外側層が前記オーバーコート層上に配される、
画像形成装置で使用するための運搬部材システム。 - 前記エラストマーマトリックスが、ポリシロキサン、ポリウレタン、ポリエステル、ポリフルオロシロキサン、ポリオレフィン、フルオロエラストマー、合成ゴム、天然ゴム、およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の運搬部材システム。
- 前記エラストマーマトリックスが、架橋ポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)を含む、請求項1に記載の運搬部材システム。
- エラストマーマトリックスに対する前記機能性材料の重量比が1:10から1:2までである、請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の運搬部材システム。
- 前記機能性材料を前記運搬部材の表面に拡散させることができる、請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の運搬部材システム。
