Description
本発明の実施の形態を説明する前に、従来のFEL(照明装置)100について簡単に説明する。従来のFEL100は、図11に示すように、光照射面2となる外装ガラス2の内面2bに蛍光体3が塗布されており、蛍光体3と光照射面(外装ガラス2)とは一体となっている。
・蛍光体3の粒の層に橋掛けを多く発生させる方がよい。
なお、橋掛けとは図5に示す様に、蛍光体3の粒と粒とが作用し合って作られる空洞3aのことである。
(実施の形態2)
本発明において製作するのは機械や構造物と異なり照明装置である。従って多孔質体5としての強度は数mの高さから落下しても破壊しない程度で充分である。つまり本発明の照明装置では、多孔質体を焼結体から構成することなく、アルミニュームを金型へ入れて加圧してなる圧粉体から多孔質体を構成してもよく、このようにして作製した圧粉体からなる多孔質体5’であっても、照明装置としての強度を維持することができる。具体的には、1ton/80mm2のプレス加圧によって作製されたアルミニュームの圧粉体からなる多孔質体5’であっても、数mの高さから落下させても破壊しない程度の強度を有する。
(実施の形態3)
図1に示す本発明の実施の形態1のFEL1では、エミッタ4を2つ設けているため、発光する所は2か所になる。発光する所を増やして発光効率を上げるためには、エミッタ4を3ヶ所、5ヶ所と増やしていけばよい。しかしながら、エミッタ4の数が増加すればするほど、発光する所で発光した光がエミッタ4に遮られてFEL1から外部に照射される光量が減少する。このように、発光量と光遮断量とは相反する。
(実施の形態4)
発明の実施の形態1〜3を改良し、電球の様に多方向に光を照射出来る様にしたものが図10(a)〜(d)に示すFEL20である。

Claims (6)
- 蛍光体と多孔質体とエミッタとを備えた照明装置であって、
前記エミッタは、当該照明装置の光照射面と前記蛍光体との間に設けられ、
前記多孔質体は熱伝導性を有し、
前記蛍光体は前記多孔質体に含浸されている、
ことを特徴とする照明装置。 - 前記多孔質体は電気伝導性をさらに有している、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記多孔質体は、焼結体と、圧粉体と、焼結体と圧粉体との混合物と、多孔質
体の物質と、粉状または粒状の固形物をペレタイジングした物と、鋳物の造型技
術の造型プロセスを応用して粉状または粒状の固形物を整形した物とのうちのい
ずれか1つである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記多孔質体と前記エミッタとを真空封止しかつ前記光照射面を備えた封止体
をさらに有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記蛍光体の熱を放熱する放熱体をさらに備え、
前記放熱体の一部は前記多孔質体に密着し、かつ前記放熱体の少なくとも一端
は前記封止体の外部に露出する、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の照明装置。 - 熱伝導性を有する多孔質体を製造する工程と、
前記多孔質体の表面に蛍光体を含浸させる工程と、
を含み、
前記多孔質体の表面に蛍光体を含浸させる工程では、前記多孔質体の表面に前
記蛍光体を塗布させたのち、前記多孔質体よりも硬度の低い材料からなるものを
用いて前記蛍光体を前記多孔質体の内部に押し込み、さらに前記蛍光体の押し込
みを終えた前記ものの凹凸を均す処理をしてから当該ものを前記多孔質体から剥
離する、
ことを特徴とする照明装置の製造方法。
