Claims (6)
- 鋳鉄溶湯中の黒鉛を球状化せしめる黒鉛球状化元素を含む黒鉛球状化剤を製造する方法にして、
該黒鉛球状化元素を含む黒鉛球状化剤を与える原料を溶融して、球状化剤溶湯を形成する溶湯形成工程と、
その得られた球状化剤溶湯を、インゴットケースの球面形状乃至は楕円体面形状とされた底面を有する成形凹所内に注湯して、所定深さの溶湯プールを形成せしめる工程と、
該インゴットケースの成形凹所内の溶湯プールの湯面に、下面が該成形凹所の底面に対応する球面形状乃至は楕円体面形状とされた蓋体を、該下面において接触せしめ、該インゴットケースの成形凹所の開口縁部と該蓋体との間の間隙が外部に開口せしめられてなる形態において、該蓋体を介して、かかる溶湯プールの湯面を加圧して押し下げることにより、該インゴットケースと該蓋体との間において該溶湯プールを形成する球状化剤溶湯を押し拡げて、該溶湯プールの溶湯深さを低減せしめる一方、該蓋体による冷却作用にて、該溶湯プールを形成する球状化剤溶湯の冷却を促進させて、凝固せしめることにより、所定厚さの椀型乃至中華鍋形状のインゴットを成形する工程と、
かかる得られたインゴットを機械的な破壊操作にて破砕せしめて、黒鉛球状化剤の粒状物を得る工程とを、
含むことを特徴とする黒鉛球状化剤の製造法。 - 前記蓋体の自重によって、前記溶湯プールの湯面に対する加圧が行われるようになっている請求項1に記載の黒鉛球状化剤の製造法。
- 前記蓋体が、伝熱性の良好な材質を用いて形成されている請求項1又は請求項2に記載の黒鉛球状化剤の製造法。
- 前記インゴットが、前記インゴットケースと前記蓋体との間において、50mmを超えない厚さを有するように成形される請求項1乃至請求項3の何れか1項に記載の黒鉛球状化剤の製造法。
- 前記インゴットの破砕によって、前記黒鉛球状化剤が3〜25mmの粒状物として形成される請求項1乃至請求項4の何れか1項に記載の黒鉛球状化剤の製造法。
- 前記黒鉛球状化剤が、重量基準で、Si:37〜50%、Mg:4.8〜5.2%、Ca:1.8〜2.2%、RE:1.6〜2.0%、Fe:残部からなる合金組成を有するように、前記原料として、フェロシリコン、金属マグネシウム、ミッシュメタル、カルシリ及び鉄スクラップの所定量を用いて、前記球状化剤溶湯が形成される請求項1乃至請求項5の何れか1項に記載の黒鉛球状化剤の製造法。
