Description
このような車両用灯具において、灯具ボディの開口の周縁に設けられた溝部にシール材が充填された後、レンズ部材の外周に設けられた脚部が溝部に挿入されることにより、灯具ボディとレンズ部材とが固定されている。このように灯具ボディとレンズ部材とにより、灯具ボディ内部の密閉性が確保されている。
前記溝部には、前記溝部の底側に幅狭部と、前記溝部の開口側に前記幅狭部より離間幅が広い幅広部とが設けられていることを特徴とする。
図1は本発明の実施形態に係る車両用灯具10の断面図である。図2は車両用灯具10の灯具ボディ11とレンズ部材12との接着固定箇所の断面図である。
図3の(a)に示すように、まず、シール材42を充填する灯具ボディ11の溝部31へ向けて、プラズマ照射装置60のノズル61からプラズマを照射する。このように溝部31へプラズマを照射しておくことにより、湿気硬化型接着剤からなるシール材42の溝部31への接着強度を高めることができる。このとき、溝部31は、幅広部52で隙間が広くなっているので、溝部31内へノズル61が入れ易い。これにより、溝部31へのプラズマ照射が容易となる。
さらに図3の(c)に示すように、灯具ボディ11に対してレンズ部材12を近接させ、レンズ部材12の脚部41を灯具ボディ11の溝部31へ挿入する。すると、溝部31内へ挿入される脚部41によって溝部31内のシール材42が開口35側へ押し出されることで、溝部31の幅狭部51と脚部41との間へシール材42が満遍なく入り込む。
また、幅狭部51の互いの離間幅は、脚部41に対して僅かな隙間を隔てるように設定されている。このため、溝部31に脚部41を挿入すると、脚部41が溝部31の幅狭部51によって保持される。これにより、レンズ部材12が灯具ボディ11に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。
溝部31へ脚部41を挿入し、灯具ボディ11に対して所定の姿勢でレンズ部材12を組み付けたら、その所定姿勢で所定時間保持する。これにより、湿気硬化型接着剤からなるシール材42を硬化させ、灯具ボディ11にレンズ部材12を固定することができる。このとき、溝部31に挿入された脚部41が溝部31の幅狭部51によって所定の姿勢に維持されている。したがって、シール材42の硬化に長時間を要する場合でも、灯具ボディ11に対するレンズ部材12の位置や姿勢がずれることなく灯具ボディ11にレンズ部材12を固定させることができる。また、シール材42として湿気硬化型接着剤を用いた場合には、専用の設備を用いることなくシール材42を硬化させることができる。
しかも、脚部41と幅狭部51との上記隙間Gを0.1mm以上2.0mm以下とされている。このため、幅狭部51への脚部41の挿入の円滑性を確保しつつ、シール材42による十分な接着力を得ることができ、さらに、シール材42の硬化速度を高めて硬化時間を短縮して製造コストを低減できる。
また、溝部31では、幅広部52より幅狭部51の表面粗さを大きくすることが好ましい。例えば、それぞれの表面粗さRa(算術平均粗さ)としては、幅狭部51で10nm〜1000nmとするのが好ましい。例えば、上述したプラズマ照射によって幅狭部51の表面粗さを大きくすることができる。あるいは灯具ボディ11の樹脂成形時に、金型に設けた微小凹凸を転写することにより、表面粗さの大きな幅狭部51を形成できる。
Claims (5)
- 灯具ボディに設けられた溝部にシール材を充填し、レンズ部材に設けられた脚部を前記溝部に挿入することにより前記灯具ボディと前記レンズ部材とが前記シール材を介して固定される車両用灯具であって、
前記溝部には、前記溝部の底側に幅狭部と、前記溝部の開口側に前記幅狭部より離間幅が広い幅広部とが設けられていることを特徴とする車両用灯具。 - 前記シール材は湿気硬化型接着剤であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記幅広部と前記幅狭部とは、前記幅広部から前記幅狭部に向かって幅が狭くなるように傾斜した傾斜部によって接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記幅狭部の溝深さは3mm以上であり、
前記脚部と前記幅狭部との隙間が0.1mm以上2.0mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の車両用灯具。 - 前記シール材は前記幅狭部と前記脚部との隙間に充填され、前記幅広部と前記脚部との隙間の一部または前記傾斜部と前記脚部との隙間の一部にも充填されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両用灯具。
