Description
本願は、2012年3月8日出願の米国仮出願第61/608,287号の利益を主張するものであり、その開示の全容は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
引き伸ばし剥離可能である接着テープ、接着テープを含む物品、及び接着テープを使用して基材の積層体を分離する方法が記載される。
好適なエラストマー裏材は、ポリエーテル−ポリエステル、ポリエーテル−ポリアミド、及びこれらの組み合わせのコポリマーを含む。市販のポリエーテル−ポリエステルコポリマー樹脂としては、DuPont(Delaware)からHytrel(登録商標)のブランド名で入手可能なものが挙げられ、特に有用なものは、Hytrel(登録商標)4056樹脂である。市販のポリエーテル−ポリアミドコポリマー樹脂としては、Arkema Inc.(Pennsylvania)からPebax(商標)のブランド名で入手可能なものが挙げられ、特に有用なものは、Pebax(商標)3533樹脂である。米国特許第5,672,400号(Hansen et al.)は、7欄、40行目〜65行目にPebax(商標)樹脂の使用を開示し、その全開示は、参照により全体として本明細書に組み込まれる。
アクリル感圧接着剤は、本開示での使用に好適である。アクリル接着剤は典型的に、本開示の接着テープが、転写テープ等の巻かれた形態で供給されるとき、ライナーによって保護される。
特定の特性を付与するために、他の添加剤が裏材、接着剤、又は両方に含まれ得る。かかる添加剤としては、有機充填剤、無機充填剤、化学的又は物理的発泡剤、抗菌剤、ガラス又はポリマー気泡又はビーズ(発泡性又は非発泡性であってもよい)、ファイバ、補強剤、疎水性又は親水性シリカ、強化剤、ナノ粒子、難燃剤、酸化防止剤、ポリエステル、ナイロン、及びポリプロピレン等の細挽きのポリマー粒子、並びに熱又は紫外線安定剤等の安定剤が挙げられる。加えて、色素及び/又は染料が、裏材、接着剤、又は両方の色を変化させるために添加されてもよい。黒色又は白色テープを生成する色素又は染料が時に好ましい。
接着テープの接着剤層及びエラストマー裏材は、典型的に高延伸性である。テープを引くことは、接着テープの伸長又は引き伸ばしを引き起こす。引き伸ばすことは、第1の基材と第2の基材との間の領域における接着テープの体積を減らし、1つ又は両方の基材からの接着テープの剥離を促進する。ツメを引くことは、接着剤層が十分な凝集強さを有する場合、接着剤層が基材に対してよりも裏材層に対して強く接着している場合、及び基材間の接着テープの体積を減らすために十分に接着テープを伸長できる場合に、接着テープが破断することなく、又は元の位置若しくは寸法にはね戻ることなく、両方の基材から接着剤層を剥離することを可能にする。引き伸ばされた接着テープを2つの基材の間から取り外すことができる、2つの基材を分離することができる、又はそれら両方である。接着テープは、典型的に、引き伸ばし剥離条件下で破断すること又は切れることなく、第1の方向に(多くの場合、第1の方向は長手方向であり、長さを少なくとも50パーセント増加し得る)少なくとも50パーセント引き伸ばし可能である。
本開示の接着テープは、種々の基材をそれら自体に、又は他の基材に接着するために使用され得る。例示的な基材としては、ステンレス鋼、亜鉛等の金属及び金属合金;ガラス等のセラミックス;並びにポリエーテルスルホン、ポリカーボネート(例えば、「LEXAN」のブランド名で販売されているもの)、ポリアミド(一般的にナイロンと称される)、アラミド(例えば、「KEVLAR」のブランド名で販売されているもの)、ポリカプロラクタム、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(例えば、「MYLAR」のブランド名で販売されているもの)、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、アクリロニトリルブタジエンスチレン、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリイミド(例えば、「KAPTON」のブランド名で販売されているもの)、ポリフェニレン、ポリウレタン(例えば、「ESTANE」のブランド名で販売されているもの)、ポリオキシメチレン、アセタール(例えば、「DELRIN」のブランド名で販売されているもの)、ポリスチレン、ポリイソブチレン、ポリプロピレン、及びポリエチレン等のポリマーが挙げられる。
PSA接着力測定
ASTM D3330に従って、2ミル(0.051mm)厚のアルミニウムシートにラミネート加工された1インチ(2.5cm)幅のテープ片を使用して、180剥離試験を実施した。この構成体を、2インチ(5.1cm)×5インチ(12.7cm)×1/8インチ(0.32cm)のステンレス鋼基材にラミネート加工した。底部ジョーがステンレス鋼基材の一端を保持し、頂部ジョーが180°環状のラミネート加工されたアルミニウムテープ端部を保持するように、試料を引張試験機に載置した。3つのテープ試料の2つのセットを準備した。ラミネーション後、15分間の滞留時間後に試料の1セットを剥離試験にかけた。もう一方のセットは、ラミネーションの72時間後に試験した。MTS Systems Corporation(Eden Prairie,Minnesota)からのMTS−Insight Electromechanical 30kN延長引張試験装置を剥離試験のために使用した。接着力の値は、oz/inの単位である。
ASTM D638−10の修正版を使用して、裏材に対して伸長測定を行った。ダンベルの試料寸法は、以下の通りであった:全長(LO)は4.5インチ(11.4cm)であり、全幅は0.75インチ(1.9cm)であり、狭い部分の幅(W)は0.25インチ(0.64cm)であり、狭い部分の長さ(L)は1.25インチ(3.18cm)であった。PSA接着力測定に使用されたものと同一の引張試験装置を、伸長試験にも使用した。ジャー間の距離が2インチ(5.1cm)になるように、引張試験装置のジャーをダンベルに載置した。伸張速度は2インチ/分(5.1cm/分)であった。伸長に対して報告された値は、%破断点伸びであった。
幅0.5インチ(1.3cm)×長さ約5インチ(12.7cm)のテープ試料を、2インチ(5.1cm)×5インチ(12.7cm)×1/8インチ(0.32cm)のステンレス鋼基材に、4.5lb(2.0kg)のゴムローラを使用して、手でラミネート加工した。テープの一端を基材から持ち上げ、次いで、引き伸ばし剥離機構によってテープが基材から除去されるまで、基材の平面から30°の角度でテープを引くことによって、基材からテープの除去を手で実施した。次いで、接着剤と以前に接触していた基材の表面を、残留接着剤に関して観察した。試料は、接着剤と以前に接触していた基材表面の90%超が接着剤残留物を含まない場合、試験に合格した。
DSM Xplore(Geleen,The Netherlands)から入手可能なDSM 15cc Micro−Compounderを使用して、裏材1を調製した。15gのPebax 3533樹脂を量り分け、次いで、コンパウンダーのホッパーに注入した。コンパウンダーの6つのゾーンを全て190℃に設定した。コンパウンダーのrpmを50rpmに設定し、コンパウンダーを共回転モードで動作するように構成した。押出物をパンに収集し、そこでそれを冷却及び固化した。フィルム試料を調製するために、10ミル(0.25mm)の間隙を有する加熱された9インチ(22.9cm)幅のノッチバーコーターを使用した。収集した押出物を、それぞれが3ミル(0.076mm)厚の2つのシリコーン剥離ライナーの間に配置し、それらをコーターの台上に配置した。材料をコーター上で少なくとも200℃に加熱した。いったん押出物が融解すると、樹脂及びライナーをノッチバーギャップを通して引き、4ミル(0.10mm)厚の16インチ(40.6cm)×9インチ(22.9cm)のフィルム試料を生成した。
コンパウンダーのホッパーに注入する前に、7.65gのPebax 3533及び7.35gのSP−560を容器中で予めブレンドしたことを除いて、裏材1と同様に裏材2を調製した。
7.95gのPebax 3533及び7.05gのSP−560を容器中で予めブレンドしたことを除いて、裏材2と同様に裏材3を調製した。
10.8gのPebax 3533及び4.2gのHytrel 4056を容器中で予めブレンドしたことを除いて、裏材2と同様に裏材4を調製した。
6.35gのPebax 3533、2.52gのHytrel 4056、及び6.14gのSP−560を容器中で予めブレンドしたことを除いて、裏材2と同様に裏材5を調製した。
6.62gのPebax 3533、2.61gのHytrel 4056、及び5.78gのSP−560を容器中で予めブレンドしたことを除いて、裏材2と同様に裏材6を調製した。
6.14gのPebax 3533、2.43gのHytrel 4056、5.93gのSP−560、0.51gのSMA−3000Pを容器中で予めブレンドしたことを除いて、裏材2と同様に裏材6を調製した。
6.38gのPebax 3533、2.52gのHytrel 4056、5.58gのSP−560、0.53gのSMA−3000Pを容器中で予めブレンドしたことを除いて、裏材2と同様に裏材6を調製した。
裏材9は、3M Companyから商品名「3M Thermal Bonding Film 668」で入手可能な、市販の4ミル(0.10mm)のフィルムであった。
Claims (2)
- (a)対向する第1及び第2の表面を有するエラストマー裏材であって、(i)ポリエーテル−ポリエステル、ポリエーテル−ポリアミド、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されるコポリマーと、(ii)前記裏材の総重量に基づき、20〜60重量%の粘着付与剤と、を含み、かつ500%を超える破断点伸びを有する、エラストマー裏材と、
(b)前記裏材の前記第1及び第2の表面のうちの少なくとも1つの上に配設されるアクリレート感圧接着剤と、を含み、
物品が基材上に配設されたときに、前記物品は、第1の方向に沿って引き伸ばされて前記基材から剥離されることが可能である、接着テープ。 - (a)第1の基材と、
(b)前記第1の基材に接着される接着テープと、を備え、前記接着テープが、
(1)対向する第1及び第2の表面を有するエラストマー裏材であって、
(i)ポリエーテル−ポリエステル、ポリエーテル−ポリアミド、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されるコポリマーと、
(ii)前記裏材の総重量に基づき、20〜60重量%の粘着付与剤と、を含み、かつ500%を超える破断点伸びを有する、エラストマー裏材と、
(2)前記裏材の前記第1及び第2の表面のうちの少なくとも1つの上に配設されるアクリレート感圧接着剤と、を含む、物品。
