Claims (2)
- 超音波を送受波する送受波器と、
前記送受波器に送波信号を与えて超音波のバースト波を送波させ、かつ前記送受波器から出力される受波信号を用いて超音波が送波された検知範囲に存在する物体を検知するコントローラとを備え、
前記送受波器は、受波信号の振幅が飽和しない区間において受波した超音波のバースト波に含まれる波の個数が多いほど受波信号の振幅が増加する構成であって、
前記コントローラは、超音波のバースト波に含まれる波の個数をパルス数として定め、物体からの反射波に対応した受波信号の振幅に相当する受波信号レベルが閾値以上であるときに物体が存在すると判断する機能を有し、複数段階のパルス数から1つのパルス数を循環的に選択し、選択したパルス数の超音波を前記送受波器から順次送波させ、かつ物体が存在すると判断したときに選択されているパルス数の超音波を前記送受波器から送波させて物体を検知する
ことを特徴とする超音波センサ。 - 前記コントローラは、物体が存在すると判断したときに当該物体までの距離が大きいほど前記閾値を小さく設定することを特徴とする請求項1記載の超音波センサ。
