Description
Claims (12)
- 生物由来のポリエステル樹脂を製造する方法であって、この方法は、
(a)未精製植物油のエステル交換物である生物由来のグリセロールを得ることと、
(b)生物由来のアビエチン酸を得ることと、
(c)前記生物由来のアビエチン酸と前記生物由来のグリセロールとのエステル化反応を行って、下記の化学式
(d)前記マクロマーと少なくとも2つの二酸とを触媒存在下で重縮合し、生物由来のポリエステル樹脂を得ることとを含み、
前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂は、少なくとも80mol%が生物由来であり、軟化点が90℃〜150℃であり、酸価が8〜16mgKOH/gである、方法。 - 前記少なくとも2つの二酸のうち第1の二酸が、セバシン酸であり、
前記少なくとも2つの二酸のうち第2の二酸がイソフタル酸またはコハク酸のいずれかである、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも2つの二酸が、セバシン酸、コハク酸、イソフタル酸、アジピン酸、アゼライン酸、グルタル酸からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂中の前記アビエチン酸グリセロールマクロマーの比率が、前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂の40〜60mol%である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂は、ガラス転移点が45℃〜75℃である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂は、軟化点が115.7℃〜121.6℃である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂は、酸価が8.4mgKOH/gまたは14.5mgKOH/gである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂は、前記少なくとも2つの二酸の合計量が、前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂の40〜60mol%である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 生物由来のポリエステル樹脂を含むトナー粒子を作成する方法であって、
(A)下記の成分:
(i)請求項1〜3および5〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって製造された生物由来のポリエステル樹脂を含むエマルション、
(ii)任意のワックス、
(iii)任意の着色剤、
(iv)任意の界面活性剤、
(v)任意の凝集剤、および、
(vi)任意の1種以上の他の添加剤、
を混合してスラリーを作成することと、
(B)前記スラリーを加熱して、前記スラリー中に凝集した粒子を作成することと、
(C)前記スラリーのpHを調整することによって前記粒子の凝集を凍結させることと、
(D)前記スラリー中の凝集した粒子を加熱して、前記凝集した粒子をトナー粒子に融合することにより、生物由来のポリエステル樹脂を含むトナー粒子を作成することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂中の前記アビエチン酸グリセロールマクロマーの比率が、前記生物由来のポリエステル樹脂の5〜95mol%である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記トナー粒子は、真円度が0.920〜0.999である、請求項9または10に記載の方法。
- 前記トナー粒子は、体積平均粒子径が3〜25μmである、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
