Description
図1には、本発明の第1実施形態に係る液晶表示装置100が概略的に示されている。この図に示されるように、液晶表示装置100は、上フレーム101及び下フレーム102に挟まれるように固定された液晶パネル200等から構成されている。
本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。第2実施形態に係る表示装置の構成は、第1実施形態の図1及び図2に示される構成と同様であるため、重複する説明を省略する。
Claims (6)
- 薄膜トランジスタが形成された薄膜トランジスタ基板と、
前記薄膜トランジスタ基板の薄膜トランジスタが形成された面に対向して配置される対向基板と、
前記薄膜トランジスタ基板と前記対向基板の間に配置される液晶組成物と、
前記薄膜トランジスタ基板に接する液晶組成物の配向を揃える配向膜と、
前記薄膜トランジスタ基板と前記対向基板とを貼り合わせると共に、液晶組成物を封止するシール材と、
前記薄膜トランジスタ基板の表示領域の外側に前記薄膜トランジスタを使用して形成され、前記表示領域の走査信号線に走査信号を出力する駆動回路と、を備え、
前記駆動回路は、表示方向からの視野において、
前記駆動回路の内部に形成され、前記駆動回路を形成する非透明の導電膜が形成された領域と比較して光透過度の高い領域である光透過領域と、
前記光透過領域と前記薄膜トランジスタ基板の外縁との間で、前記シール材と絶縁膜とが直接接する高シール性領域と、を有し、
前記駆動回路のメイントランジスタ回路内に前記光透過領域が形成され、
前記メイントランジスタ回路は、ゲート電極を共通にする第1の薄膜トランジスタと第2の薄膜トランジスタを有し、
前記第1の薄膜トランジスタは、前記第2の薄膜トランジスタには接続されない信号線に接続され、
前記光透過領域は、表示方向からの視野において、前記ゲート電極を一体的に形成する導電膜に4方向を囲まれていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記駆動回路において、前記走査信号線がソース又はドレインに直接又は間接的に接続された前記メイントランジスタ回路は、櫛歯状のドレイン信号線と、櫛歯状のソース信号線とが互い違いに配置された複数の櫛歯状チャネル領域を有し、
前記複数の櫛歯状チャネル領域が形成する前記第1の薄膜トランジスタ及び前記第2の薄膜トランジスタは、互いにゲート電極が並列に接続された回路を形成し、
前記光透過領域は、表示方向からの視野において、前記複数の櫛歯状チャネル領域の間に配置される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記光透過領域は、表示方向からの視野において、前記メイントランジスタ回路のソース信号線又はドレイン信号線のいずれか一方に少なくとも3方向を囲まれている、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記駆動回路において、前記走査信号線がソース又はドレインに直接又は間接的に接続された前記メイントランジスタ回路は、櫛歯状のドレイン信号線と、櫛歯状のソース信号線とが互い違いに配置された複数の櫛歯状チャネル領域を有し、
前記複数の櫛歯状チャネル領域は、前記メイントランジスタ回路が全体としてクランク形状となることにより形成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記光透過領域は、表示方向からの視野において、前記駆動回路における容量を形成する電極に少なくとも3方向を囲まれている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記光透過領域には、前記配向膜が積層されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の液晶表示装置。
