Claims (8)
- 発電要素を内蔵するとともに一方が開口した扁平形状の電池ケース本体と,長辺部と短辺部とを有する形状であり前記電池ケース本体の開口部を塞ぐ蓋部材とを有する電池において,
前記電池ケース本体内で前記発電要素に接続するとともに部分的に外部に露出する,前記蓋部材を貫通して設けられた対外端子部材と,
少なくとも前記蓋部材の外面側に配置され,前記対外端子部材を前記蓋部材から絶縁する絶縁部材とを有し,
前記絶縁部材の縁辺と前記蓋部材の長辺部との間隔が,前記絶縁部材の縁辺と前記蓋部材の短辺部との間隔より小さく,
前記蓋部材は,前記電池ケース本体の開口部にはめ込まれており,
前記蓋部材の外面と前記電池ケース本体の開口端面とに跨る溶接痕が前記蓋部材の全周にわたって形成されることで,前記蓋部材が前記電池ケース本体に固定されるとともに前記電池ケース本体の内部が外界から密閉されており,
前記蓋部材の長辺部のうち少なくとも前記絶縁部材に対面する区間を含む区間は,前記溶接痕が,前記蓋部材の外面および前記電池ケース本体の開口端面のみならず前記電池ケース本体の外側面にも及んで形成されている幅広溶接痕区間とされており,
前記溶接痕は,
前記幅広溶接痕区間では,前記幅広溶接痕区間以外の区間と比較して,溶接痕の断面形状における溶け込み深さが大きくなっており,
溶接時に溶融しなかった部分での前記蓋部材と前記電池ケース本体との境目を前記溶接痕の表面に延長した延長線よりも前記蓋部材側に食い込んで形成されており,
前記幅広溶接痕区間以外の区間は,前記蓋部材の短辺部の区間,および,前記蓋部材の長辺部の前記絶縁部材に対面しない区間のうち前記幅広溶接痕区間とされる区間を除いた区間であり,
前記対外端子部材および前記絶縁部材が,前記蓋部材の長辺部の方向の両端寄りの位置にそれぞれ設けられていることを特徴とする電池。 - 請求項1に記載の電池において,
前記溶接痕の断面形状のうち表面が円弧状である部分に当てはめられる近似扇形の中心方向が,前記幅広溶接痕区間では,前記幅広溶接痕区間以外の区間と比較して,より外側向きに傾いていることを特徴とする電池。 - 請求項1に記載の電池において,
前記溶接痕を外部から見たときにおける,前記境目に対する前記電池ケース本体側への溶け込み幅を前記蓋部材側への溶け込み幅で割った値が,前記幅広溶接痕区間では,前記幅広溶接痕区間以外の区間と比較して大きいことを特徴とする電池。 - 請求項1に記載の電池において,
前記溶接痕の断面における表面長のうち,前記延長線より前記電池ケース本体側の表面長を前記蓋部材側の表面長で割った値が,前記幅広溶接痕区間では,前記幅広溶接痕区間以外の区間と比較して大きいことを特徴とする電池。 - 請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか1つに記載の電池において,
前記幅広溶接痕区間が,前記蓋部材の長辺部の方向に対し,一方の前記絶縁部材に対面する区間ともう一方の前記絶縁部材に対面する区間とそれらの区間の間の区間とにわたって形成されていることを特徴とする電池。 - 請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか1つに記載の電池において,
前記蓋部材の板厚が前記電池ケース本体の板厚より大きいことを特徴とする電池。 - 発電要素を内蔵するとともに一方が開口した扁平形状の電池ケース本体と,長辺部と短辺部とを有する形状であり前記電池ケース本体の開口部を塞ぐ蓋部材とを有する電池の製造方法において,
対象とする電池は,
前記電池ケース本体内で前記発電要素に接続するとともに部分的に外部に露出する,前記蓋部材を貫通して設けられた対外端子部材と,
少なくとも前記蓋部材の外面側に配置され,前記対外端子部材を前記蓋部材から絶縁する絶縁部材とを,前記蓋部材の長辺部の方向の両端寄りの位置にそれぞれ有し,
前記絶縁部材の縁辺と前記蓋部材の長辺部との間隔が,前記絶縁部材の縁辺と前記蓋部材の短辺部との間隔より小さいものであり,
前記蓋部材を,前記電池ケース本体の開口端面を覆うことなく前記電池ケース本体の開口部にはめ込んだ状態とし,
前記蓋部材の外面と前記電池ケース本体の開口端面との境目を前記蓋部材の全周にわたって溶接することで,前記蓋部材を前記電池ケース本体に固定するとともに前記電池ケース本体の内部を外界から密閉し,
前記溶接の際のエネルギーを,
前記蓋部材の長辺部のうち少なくとも前記絶縁部材に対面する区間を含み,溶接時に溶接箇所からプルームが垂直に噴出すると前記絶縁部材がダメージを受けうる区間では,溶融範囲が前記蓋部材の外面および前記電池ケース本体の開口端面のみならず前記電池ケース本体の外側面にも及び,その溶融範囲が溶接痕となる第1レベルのエネルギーとし, 前記蓋部材の短辺部,および,前記蓋部材の長辺部のうち前記絶縁部材に対面しない区間であって,溶接時に溶接箇所からプルームが垂直に噴出しても前記絶縁部材がダメージを受けない区間では,前記第1レベルより低い第2レベルのエネルギーとすることを特徴とする電池の製造方法。 - 請求項7に記載の電池の製造方法において,
前記第1レベルのエネルギーでの溶接を,前記蓋部材の長辺部の方向に対し,一方の前記絶縁部材に対面する区間ともう一方の前記絶縁部材に対面する区間とそれらの区間の間の区間とにわたって行うことを特徴とする電池の製造方法。
