Claims (5)
- 電池外装缶と前記電池外装缶の開口部を封口する封口体との嵌合面を高エネルギー線による溶接によって接合した密閉型電池において、
前記封口体のフランジの天面側にはテーパ部が形成され、
前記電池外装缶と封口体の溶接部断面は、溶融凝固部底面から前記電池外装缶の外方に前記電池外装缶と封口体との嵌合線を頂点とした盛り上がり形状であり、かつ、前記電池外装缶側と封口体側の溶融凝固部は、その底面では封口体の天面と実質的に平行な同一線上にあり、前記封口体のフランジの天面側のテーパ部に至るように形成されていることを特徴とする密閉型電池。 - 前記溶融凝固部は、前記封口体のフランジの天面側のテーパ部の途中まで形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の密閉電池。
- 前記電池外装缶及び前記封口体はアルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金からなることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の密閉型電池。
- 電池外装缶と、
端子部を備え、前記電池外装缶との嵌合面全周あるいはその一部に、フランジ先端部の天面を根元より薄肉、かつ肉厚が一定となるようし、前記天面から底部に向かって垂直な部分と引き続いて肉厚になるようにテ―パ部を形成した封口体と、
を用い、
前記封口体の端子部に電極体を溶接する工程と、
前記電極体を前記電池外装缶内に挿入すると共に、前記電池外装缶及び封口体を両者の天面が同一平面上になるよう位置合わせする工程と、
前記電池外装缶と封口体の嵌合部に焦点を合わせて高エネルギー線を照射して溶接する工程と、
を備えることを特徴とする密閉型電池の製造方法。 - 前記電池外装缶及び前記封口体は共にアルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金からなり、前記電池外装缶の開口部肉厚は0.2〜0.3mmであり、前記封口体のフランジは、全高さが0.2〜0.3mm、先端部が肉厚0.2〜0.35mm、高さ0.05〜0.15mm、根本の最厚部の肉厚0.4〜0.45mmのものを用いることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の密閉型電池の製造方法。
