Description
移動方向に異なる磁極が交互に着磁された磁界発生部材と、前記磁界発生部材に対して非接触にて配置されるとともに前記移動方向と平行な方向に間隔を空けて配置された複数の磁気センサと、各磁気センサに設けられ、前記磁界発生部材からの外部磁界により電気特性が変化する磁気検出素子を備えて構成された複数のチャンネルと、を有し、
一つの前記磁界発生部材にて、各磁気センサから位相がずれた位相信号が生成可能で、かつ各チャンネルからの出力に基づいて前記位相信号の波長内にて複数のパルスを有する高分解能信号が生成可能であることを特徴とするものである。
図7では、磁気検出素子19c,19dを用いて説明したが、他の磁気検出素子においても同じ層構造である。このとき固定磁性層3を構成する第2磁性層3cの固定磁化方向を制御して各感度軸方向P1〜P3を決定できる。

Claims (3)
- 移動方向に異なる磁極が交互に着磁された磁界発生部材と、前記磁界発生部材に対して非接触にて配置されるとともに前記移動方向と平行な方向に間隔を空けて配置された複数の磁気センサと、各磁気センサに設けられ、前記磁界発生部材からの外部磁界により電気特性が変化する磁気検出素子を備えて構成された複数のチャンネルと、を有し、
一つの前記磁界発生部材にて、各磁気センサから位相がずれた位相信号が生成可能で、かつ各チャンネルからの出力に基づいて前記位相信号の波長内にて複数のパルスを有する高分解能信号が生成可能であることを特徴とする磁気エンコーダ。 - 前記高分解能信号は、各位相信号の立ち上がり及び立ち下がりのタイミングを合わせた合同タイミングよりも短い間隔の前記パルスを有する請求項1記載の磁気エンコーダ。
- 前記各磁気センサにはいずれかの前記チャンネルからの出力を前記位相信号として取り出す第1出力部と、各チャンネルからの出力がロジック回路により信号処理された前記高分解能信号よりもパルス間隔が大きい中分解能信号を取り出す第2出力部と、を有し、各第2出力部からの前記中分解能信号はオープンコレクタ出力あるいはオープンドレイン出力されて前記高分解能信号が生成される請求項1記載の磁気エンコーダ。
