Description
Claims (5)
- 白色光を放射する光源と、
前記光源からの光を集光して出射する集光光学素子と、
前記集光光学素子の出射面の近傍に配置され、前記集光光学素子の出射面を出射する白色光のうち特定の色光を所定の順序で選択的に透過又は反射させるための複数種のフィルタを有する回転式色フィルタと、
複数の画素を有し、画像信号に応じて入射光を変調して画像表示を行う光変調素子と、
前記回転式色フィルタからの出射光を集光して前記光変調素子に投射するための照明光を形成する照明光学要素と、
前記光変調素子で形成された画像を投射する投射レンズと、
前記回転式色フィルタの回転と前記光変調素子による画像表示が同期するように制御する制御装置とを備え、
前記回転式色フィルタは、その一部に、前記集光光学素子の出射面からの光により発光面を形成し、
前記光変調素子は、前記回転式色フィルタ上の前記発光面と実質的に共役な関係に配置され、
前記集光光学素子を、その光軸を前記回転式色フィルタの面からの垂線に対して傾斜して、配置したことを特徴とする投写型映像表示装置。 - 白色光を放射する光源と、
前記光源からの光を集光して出射する集光光学素子と、
前記集光光学素子の出射面の近傍に配置され、前記集光光学素子の出射面を出射する白色光のうち特定の色光を所定の順序で選択的に透過又は反射させるための複数種のフィルタを有する回転式色フィルタと、
複数の画素を有し、画像信号に応じて入射光を変調して画像表示を行う光変調素子と、
前記回転式色フィルタからの出射光を集光して前記光変調素子に投射するための照明光を形成する照明光学要素と、
前記光変調素子で形成された画像を投射する投射レンズと、
前記回転式色フィルタの回転と前記光変調素子による画像表示が同期するように制御する制御装置とを備え、
前記回転式色フィルタは、その一部に、前記集光光学素子の出射面からの光により発光面を形成し、
前記光変調素子は、前記回転式色フィルタ上の前記発光面と実質的に共役な関係に配置され、
前記集光光学素子の出射面を、前記回転式色フィルタの面に対して傾斜して、配置したことを特徴とする投写型映像表示装置。 - 前記請求項1又は2に記載した投写型映像表示装置において、前記傾斜の角度は、1〜10度の範囲に設定されていることを特徴とする投写型映像表示装置。
- 前記請求項3に記載した投写型映像表示装置において、前記傾斜の角度は、1〜3度の範囲に設定されていることを特徴とする投写型映像表示装置。
- 前記請求項1又は2に記載した投写型映像表示装置において、前記制御装置は、前記光変調素子の複数の画素の一部を、前記回転式色フィルタの各色フィルタ間の境界が前記発光面上を移動する位置に対応して制御し、もって、各色フィルタ間での混色を低減することを特徴とする投写型映像表示装置。
