Claims (2)
- 固体高分子電解質膜の両側に一対の電極が設けられる電解質膜・電極構造体とセパレータとが、立位姿勢で水平方向に沿って積層される燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータには、少なくとも発電面に沿って反応ガスを流通させる反応ガス流路の、発電領域外に位置する重力方向最下部の流路溝、又は前記反応ガス流路を迂回するバイパス流路のいずれかである水滞留部が設けられる一方、
前記電解質膜・電極構造体には、発電領域外に位置し且つ前記水滞留部に対向する全面に水不透過層が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記水不透過層は、前記電解質膜・電極構造体の少なくともカソード電極側に設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。
