Claims (3)
- コアがジルコニアで該コアの表面にセリアジルコニアとセリアとが存在している自動車排ガス浄化用助触媒材であって、
前記コアの原料であるジルコニアは、平均粒子径が50nm〜120nmのジルコニア粉、または平均粒子径が50nm〜120nmのジルコニア粒子を有するジルコニアゾルであり、
前記セリアと前記ジルコニアとの固溶率が、30%〜90%であることを特徴とする自動車排ガス浄化用助触媒材。 - 前記ジルコニアの平均粒子径が50nm〜120nmの範囲内であり、前記ジルコニアの比表面積が67m2/g〜175m2/gの範囲内であり、前記自動車排ガス浄化用助触媒材の組成がCe/Zr=(15〜25)/(75〜85)の範囲内であるものを用いた時に、特異的に低温から酸素を放出することを特徴とする請求項1の自動車排ガス浄化用助触媒材。
- 請求項1または2の自動車排ガス浄化用助触媒材の製造方法であって、
水にジルコニア粉を分散させたもの或いはジルコニアゾルに、硝酸セリウムを溶解させる溶解工程と、
前記溶解工程によって得られた溶解液にアンモニア水を加え攪拌することによって該溶解液中のセリウムの少なくとも一部を担持したジルコニアを含むアルカリ性のスラリーを得る第1担持工程と、
前記第1担持工程によって得られたスラリーを湿式粉砕することによって更に強固に前記セリウムを前記ジルコニアに担持させる第2担持工程と、
前記第2担持工程によって得られたスラリー中からその固形分を抽出する固形分抽出工程と、
前記固形分抽出工程によって得られた固形分を焼成する仮焼成工程と、
前記仮焼成工程によって焼成された粉末を該仮焼成工程の焼成温度より高い温度で再度焼成する本焼成工程と
を含む自動車排ガス浄化用助触媒材の製造方法。
