Description
本願第2の発明である車両は、車両を走行させるための動力を発生するモータに作動電力を供給するバッテリと、バッテリを収容するバッテリケースと、熱輸送デバイスと、を有する。バッテリケースは、金属からなる第1の層と、第1の層よりもバッテリに近接した領域に位置する断熱材からなる第2の層と、第2の層よりもバッテリに近接した領域に位置する相変化蓄熱材からなる第3の層と、を有する。熱輸送デバイスは、バッテリケースの内部に配置される第1の熱交換器と、バッテリケースの外部であって、車両の内外において空気を導く通気管に配置される第2の熱交換器と、第1及び第2の熱交換器の間で冷媒を循環させる循環経路と、を備える。通気管は、上下方向に延びる直管形状部と、上下方向に対して傾斜した傾斜管形状部と、を有する。第2の熱交換器は、傾斜管形状部において、通気管の内部に入射する直射日光により照射される照射領域を避けた非照射領域に配置される。
以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。図1は、本発明の一実施形態である車両の一部におけるハード構成を示すブロック図である。同図において、点線の矢印は信号の流れる方向を示している。車両200は、バッテリの出力を用いてモータを駆動する駆動経路とエンジンによる駆動経路とを有し、車両外部の外部電源を用いてバッテリを充電可能なプラグインハイブリッド車両である。ただし、車両200は、車両外部の外部電源を用いてバッテリを充電可能であって、当該エンジンを省略した電気車両であってもよい。また、車両200は、車両外部の外部電源を用いたバッテリの充電が不可能なハイブリッド車両であってもよい。
本実施形態は、実施形態1の構成に加えて、バッテリケース10の内部の温度上昇をさらに効果的に抑制する熱輸送デバイスを備える。
上述の実施形態では、パック内熱交換器22Aとパック外熱交換器22Bとの間を循環する低沸騰剤を、液相状態と固相状態とに基づく比重差などにより、自然循環させたが、本発明は必ずしもこれに限るものではない。例えば、ポンプなどの送液手段を用いて、冷媒を強制的に循環する方法であってもよい。この場合、パック外熱交換器22Bは、必ずしもパック内熱交換器22Aよりも上方に設置する必要はなく、また、冷媒は常時液相状態を保つものを使用してもよい。この種の冷媒として、例えば、フロリナートを用いることができる。これにより、車両の設計の自由度を高めることができる。なお、バッテリ11は、バッテリケース10の複層構造により温度上昇が抑制されているため、ポンプなどの送液手段に用いられる電力は少なくてもよい。例えば、ポンプなどを間欠的に駆動したり、或いは冷媒をゆっくりと循環させることにより、消費電力を抑えることもできる。

Claims (8)
- 車両を走行させるための動力を発生するモータに作動電力を供給するバッテリと、
前記バッテリを収容するバッテリケースであって、金属からなる第1の層と、前記第1の層よりも前記バッテリに近接した領域に位置する断熱材からなる第2の層と、前記第2の層よりも前記バッテリに近接した領域に位置する相変化蓄熱材からなる第3の層と、を有するバッテリケースと、
前記バッテリケースの内部に配置される第1の熱交換器と、前記バッテリケースの外部であって、前記車両の放熱部に配置され、前記第1の熱交換器よりも上方に位置する第2の熱交換器と、前記第1及び第2の熱交換器の間で冷媒を循環させる循環経路と、を備える熱輸送デバイスと、を有し、
前記循環経路は、
前記第1の熱交換器において前記バッテリケースの内部の空気と熱交換を行うことにより液相状態から気相状態に変化した前記冷媒を、前記第2の熱交換器に移送するための第1の接続管と、
前記第2の熱交換器において前記車両の放熱部と熱交換を行うことにより気相状態から液相状態に変化した前記冷媒を前記第1の熱交換器に移送するための第2の接続管と、を有し、
前記第1及び第2の接続管はそれぞれ、上下方向に延びる縦管を有し、
前記冷媒は、前記第1及び第2の接続管を介して、前記第1及び第2の熱交換器の間を自然循環することを特徴とする車両。 - 車両を走行させるための動力を発生するモータに作動電力を供給するバッテリと、
前記バッテリを収容するバッテリケースであって、金属からなる第1の層と、前記第1の層よりも前記バッテリに近接した領域に位置する断熱材からなる第2の層と、前記第2の層よりも前記バッテリに近接した領域に位置する相変化蓄熱材からなる第3の層と、を有するバッテリケースと、
前記バッテリケースの内部に配置される第1の熱交換器と、前記バッテリケースの外部であって、前記車両の内外において空気を導く通気管に配置される第2の熱交換器と、前記第1及び第2の熱交換器の間で冷媒を循環させる循環経路と、を備える熱輸送デバイスと、を有し、
前記通気管は、上下方向に延びる直管形状部と、上下方向に対して傾斜した傾斜管形状部と、を有し、
前記第2の熱交換器は、前記傾斜管形状部において、前記通気管の内部に入射する直射日光により照射される照射領域を避けた非照射領域に配置されることを特徴とする車両。 - 前記バッテリは、複数の単電池が配列された電池群であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車両。
- 前記循環経路は、
前記第1の熱交換器において前記バッテリケースの内部の空気と熱交換を行うことにより液相状態から気相状態に変化した前記冷媒を、前記第2の熱交換器に移送するための第1の接続管と、
前記第2の熱交換器において前記通気管と熱交換を行うことにより気相状態から液相状態に変化した前記冷媒を前記第1の熱交換器に移送するための第2の接続管と、を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車両。 - 前記第2の熱交換器は、前記第1の熱交換器よりも上方に位置し、
前記第1及び第2の接続管はそれぞれ、上下方向に延びる縦管を有し、
前記冷媒は、前記第1及び第2の接続管を介して、前記第1及び第2の熱交換器の間を自然循環することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の車両。 - 前記車両の放熱部は、前記車両の内外において空気を導く通気管であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両。
- 前記通気管には、空気の通過を許容する開き位置と、空気の通過を抑制する閉じ位置との間で動作する開閉弁が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2又は6に記載の車両。
- 前記開閉弁を駆動する駆動部を有し、
前記駆動部は、車外の温度が前記バッテリの入出力特性に基づき設定される閾値よりも低い場合には、前記開閉弁を前記閉じ位置に動作させ、車外の温度が前記閾値以上である場合には、前記開閉弁を前記開き位置に動作させることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の車両。
