Description
一態様では、本発明は、より濃く、より豊かな毛髪の外観を向上させるために使用することができるヘアケア組成物を提供する。ヘアケア組成物は、少なくとも1つの育毛刺激剤を含む。本発明の実施形態に従い、育毛刺激剤は、安全かつ有効な量でフラボノイド化合物、アピゲニン(4’,5,7−トリヒドロキシフラボン又は5,7−ジヒドロキシ−2−(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)−4H−1−ベンゾピラン−4−オンとしても既知)を含む。ヘアケア組成物は、自身の中にアミン官能基を有する可溶化剤、及び水性キャリアを更に含有し、組成物は約3.0〜約10の範囲のpHを有する。任意に、ヘアケア組成物には、更に、他の皮膚科学的に許容可能な添加剤及び/又は何らかの所望の好適な任意成分を含ませることができる。
本発明のヘアケア組成物は、フラボノイド、アピゲニンを含有し、アピゲニンは多様な種類の植物及び野菜に存在する非変異原性のシトラスバイオフラボノイドである。例としては、グレープフルーツ、パセリ、タイム、カモミール、りんご、セロリ、バジル、オレガノ、タラゴン、コリアンダー、ノコギリソウ、昆布、やぶ椿及びパッションフラワーが挙げられるが、これらに限定されない。アピゲニンは、数多くの他のフラボノイド類、カテキン類、及びその他の天然に生じる化合物とともに、数多くの植物及び野菜に見出すことができ、これらの材料中のアピゲニンの総濃度は大幅に変化し、かつこれらの材料には本発明に有用であるほど十分にアピゲニンが存在していない場合がある。そのため、本発明に関し、アピゲニンは精製された状態であり、かつ他の化合物を実質的に不含である。本明細書で使用するとき、「他の実質的に不含」は、アピゲニンが少なくとも50重量%の純度であることを意味する。例えば、一実施形態によると、アピゲニンは少なくとも90重量%の純度、少なくとも95重量%の純度、又は少なくとも98重量%の純度であり得る。本発明のためには、合計組成物に基づいてアピゲニン自体が最低でも0.005%の量で存在しなくてはならない。アピゲニンは、約0.1%、0.15%、0.2%、0.25%、0.3%、0.4%、0.5%、0.7%、0.9%、1%、2%、3%、又は4%超の量で存在し得る。アピゲニンは、典型的には、約5%、4%、3%、2.5%、2%、1.8%、1.6%、1.5%、1.4%、1.3%、1.2%、1%、0.9%、0.8%、0.7%、0.6%、0.5%、0.4%、0.3%、0.2%、又は0.1%未満の量で存在する。
アピゲニンはその純粋な形態では固体であり、かつ水並びに製薬、化粧品、及び食添製剤に好適なほとんどすべての溶媒に対し不溶性(すなわち、溶解度1mg/mL未満)である。そのため、アピゲニンは、可溶化剤を使用して原液(すなわち、予混合物)から調製する必要があり、すなわち、基剤との相溶性が1つの主な課題となる。このような可溶化剤の選択は、容易に判断されない。例えば、アピゲニンは、塩基性水性溶液に可溶性であることが知られているが、pHを酸により調整することで、アピゲニンは溶液から沈殿する。そのため、所望のpH範囲内で、安定なヘアケア組成物を維持する補助となる可溶化剤の性能が、他の更なる検討事項となる。したがって、本発明の他の態様では、アピゲニンを可溶化させて、これを数多くの異なる製品、特に液体、ペースト、ゲル、又はクリームなどの流体に組み込むのを容易にさせる理想的な可溶化剤を選択するための方法が提供される。言うまでもなく、本明細書に記載の方法は、他の実質的に不溶性のフラボノイド(例えば、ルテオリン)、及び他の実質的に不溶性の育毛刺激剤にも応用することができる。

ヘアケア組成物には更にインドール化合物を含有させることができる。本明細書で使用するとき、「インドール化合物」は、1種以上のインドール、それらの誘導体、それらの混合物又はそれらの塩を意味する。したがって、組成物には、約0.1%〜約10%のインドール化合物、約0.5%〜約5%のインドール化合物、又は約1%〜約2%のインドール化合物を含有させることができ、例えば、この割合は、最終的なヘアケア組成物の総重量に基づく重量%である。
ヘアケア組成物には更にキサンチン化合物を含有させることができる。本明細書で用いられる「キサンチン化合物」は、1種類以上のキサンチン、それらの誘導体、及びそれらの混合物を意味する。本明細書で有用であり得るキサンチン化合物は、カフェイン、キサンチン、1−メチルキサンチン、テオフィリン、テオブロミン、それらの誘導体、及びそれらの混合物を包含するが、それらに限定されない。したがって、組成物には、約0.1%〜約10%のキサンチン化合物、約0.5%〜約5%のキサンチン化合物、又は約1%〜約2%のキサンチン化合物を含有させることができ、例えば、この割合は、最終的なヘアケア組成物の総重量に基づく重量%である。例えば、ヘアケア組成物には更に約0.75%のカフェインを含有させることができる。
ヘアケア組成物には更にビタミンB3化合物を含有させることができる。本明細書で使用するとき、「ビタミンB3化合物」は、ニコチン酸、ナイアシンアミド、ニコチニルアルコール、その誘導体及びこれらの混合物を意味する。ビタミンB3化合物は、実質的に純物質として、又は、天然(例えば、植物)原料からの好適な物理的及び/又は化学的単離により得られた抽出物として含まれてよい。適宜に、組成物には、約0.1%〜約25%のビタミンB3化合物;約0.5%〜約15%のビタミンB3化合物;又は約3.5%〜約7.5%のビタミンB3化合物を含有させることができ、例えば、この割合は、最終的なヘアケア組成物の総重量に基づく重量%である。例えば、ヘアケア組成物には更に約2.5%のビタミンB3を含有させることができる。
ヘアケア組成物には、更にパンテノール化合物を含ませることができる。本明細書で使用するとき、用語「パンテノール化合物」は、パンテノール、1種類以上のパントテン酸誘導体、及びそれらの混合物を包含する。パンテノール化合物の非限定例としてはD−パンテノール([R]−2,4−ジヒドロキシ−N−[3−ヒドロキシプロピル)]−3,3−ジメチルブタミド)、D,L−パンテノール、パントテン酸及びそれらの塩(例えば、カルシウム塩)、トリ酢酸パンテニル、ローヤルゼリー、パンテチン、パントテイン、パンテニルエチルエーテル、パンガミン酸、パントイルラクトース、ビタミンB複合体、又はそれらの混合物が挙げられる。適宜に、組成物には約0.01重量%〜約5重量%のパンテノール化合物;約0.03重量%〜約3重量%のパンテノール化合物;約0.05重量%〜約2重量%のパンテノール化合物;又は約0.1重量%〜約1重量%のパンテノール化合物を含ませることができ、例えば、この割合は、最終的なヘアケア組成物の総重量に基づく重量%である。例えば、ヘアケア組成物には更に約0.15%のパンテノールを含有させることができる。
本発明の別の態様に従うと、ヘアケア組成物は、更に少なくとも約20重量%の水性キャリアを含有する。一実施形態によると、水性キャリアは、例えば脱塩水又は蒸留水から調製することができる。水性キャリアに使用することのできる、他の許容可能なキャリアとしては、アルコール化合物、例えば、エタノールなどが挙げられるが、これに限定されない。一実施形態によると、組成物は、アルコール、ジプロピレングリコール、及び/又は水を含む。
本発明の組成物はまた、必要に応じて任意の好適な任意成分を更に含んでよい。例えば、組成物は、任意選択的に他の活性又は不活性成分を含むことができる。
本発明の別の実施形態に従うと、ヘアケア組成物の製造法は、アピゲニンを可溶化剤に溶解させるのに十分な温度にてアピゲニン及び可溶化剤を混合して予混合物を形成する工程;予混合物を水性キャリアと組み合わせてヘアケア組成物を形成する工程;並びに任意選択的に、酸により約3〜約10の範囲内にヘアケア組成物のpHを調整する工程、を包含する。予混合物は、アピゲニン及び1つ以上の可溶化剤を組み合わせることにより製造される。可溶化エネルギー(例えば、撹拌、音波処理、粉砕、加熱など)を適用して、溶解工程を促進させてもよい。例えば、アピゲニンとトリエタノールアミンとの予混合物は、アピゲニン及びトリエタノールアミンを単一の容器内で組み合わせ、混合物を70℃に加熱しつつ溶液が透明になるまで撹拌することにより製造できる。予混合物の製造法の方法例の一態様に従うと、組み合わせたアピゲニン及びトリエタノールアミンは、IKA RET CV−S1ミキサを用い50〜100rpmにて混合することができる。他の態様に従うと、組み合せたものは、IKA Eurostar PWR CV−S1ミキサを用い300〜500rpmにて混合される。
本発明の更に別の実施形態に従うと、毛幹及び毛嚢直径を増大させるための;毛嚢密度を増加させるための;及び/又は灰色の毛髪の出現を遅延させるための方法が提供される。これは、より濃い及び/又はより豊かな毛髪の外観をもたらすことができ、灰色の毛髪の発症が遅れている外観をもたらすことができる。1つの態様において、この方法は、ヘアケア組成物を、毛髪成長部位の皮膚表面に塗布することを含む。例えば、ヘアケア組成物は頭皮に塗布することができる。別の実施形態では、本方法は、有効量のアピゲニンを含むヘアケア組成物を、より濃い及び/又はより豊かな毛髪の出現を増加させること又は灰色の毛髪の出現を遅延させる必要のある哺乳類の皮膚の一領域に局所的に塗布することを含む。

a)全組成物の1重量%を超え12重量%までの可溶化剤と組み合わされた、全組成物の0.15重量%を超え5重量%までのアピゲニンを含むアピゲニン予混合物であって、前記可溶化剤はトリエタノールアミンである、アピゲニン予混合物;
b)少なくとも20重量%の水性キャリア;及び、
c)0.5重量%〜20重量%のレオロジー改質剤であって、前記レオロジー改質剤がアクリレート共重合体である、レオロジー改質剤;を含み、
前記組成物が、3〜10の範囲のpHを有する、組成物。 - 複数の可溶化剤を更に含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。

b)前記予混合物を水性キャリアと組み合わせて前記ヘアケア組成物を形成する工程;並びに
c)任意選択的に、酸により3〜10の範囲内に前記ヘアケア組成物のpHを調整する工程、を含む方法。 - 前記アピゲニン対前記可溶化剤の重量比が1:10〜1:4の範囲内である、請求項7に記載の方法。
