Claims (28)
- トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮を分離する方法であって、該方法は、
前記トウモロコシ粒を流体媒体の中に入れるステップと、
前記トウモロコシ粒を内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮の劣化を生ずることなくトウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮に分離するために、前記流体内部にキャビテーションを誘発すると同時に、前記トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮に遠心力を加えるステップと、
を含み、前記トウモロコシ粒は分離前にはミル又は胚芽分離機によって粉砕されないこと、
前記内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮を分離した後、前記流体及び内胚乳から前記胚芽及び果皮を分けること
を特徴とする方法。 - さらに、前記トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮を分離するために、前記流体と前記トウモロコシ粒の間のアブレージョンを誘発するステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮を分離するために、前記トウモロコシ粒間にアブレージョンを誘発するステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮を分離するために、前記トウモロコシ粒に衝撃力を与えるステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮は2分以内に分離されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記トウモロコシ粒は、分離前に水又は酸性溶液に浸されないことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記流体内部にキャビテーションを誘発すると同時に、前記トウモロコシ粒に遠心力を加える前記ステップは、ローターから伸びる複数の突起物と共に実行され、前記突起物同士は約6ミリメートル以上離れて隔置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。

前記澱粉及び蛋白を分離するために前記分離された澱粉及び蛋白に遠心力を与えるステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - さらに、前記澱粉を加水分解するステップと、
前記加水分解された澱粉を糖化して砂糖シロップを生成するステップと、
前記砂糖シロップを発酵させて液体エタノールを生成するステップと、
前記液体エタノールをエタノール蒸気に変換するために前記蒸気エタノール内部にキャビテーションを誘発するステップと、
前記液体から前記エタノール蒸気を分けるために前記エタノール蒸気に遠心力を与えるステップと、

前記シャフト用開口を介して前記内部室の中へ突出するシャフトと、
前記内部室内部で前記シャフトと連結されるローターと、
前記ローターから伸びる複数の突起物と、
前記突起物が前記流体を通過するとき前記内部室内部において前記流体にキャビテーションを生じさせるのに充分な速度で前記シャフト及びローターを回転させる主原動機と、を備え
前記トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮は、前記流体内部において形成されるキャビテーション気泡の急速な生成及び爆縮によって内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮の劣化を生ずることなく分離されると共に、前記トウモロコシ粒は分離前にはミル又は胚芽分離機によって粉砕されないこと、
前記流体、内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮を受け入れる出口に結合される、前記流体及び内胚乳から前記胚芽及び果皮を分ける液体−固体分離機を具備すること、
を特徴とする装置。 - 前記トウモロコシ粒が、遠心力、前記流体とトウモロコシ粒との間のアブレージョン及び前記トウモロコシ粒間のアブレージョン及び前記トウモロコシ粒と前記突起物との間の衝突の組合せ効果によって分離されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記トウモロコシ粒の内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮は2分以内に分離されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記トウモロコシ粒は、分離前に水又は酸性溶液に浸されないことを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記ハウジングは前記内部室を形成する第一及び第二の端壁及び1つの側壁を備え、前記入口が前記第一端壁にあり、前記シャフト用開口が前記第二端壁にあり、前記出口が前記側壁にあり、前記ローターが前記入口に面する前面を備え、前記複数の突起物が前記ローターの前記前面から前記入口に向かって伸びることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記ローターが円形であり、前記突起物が前記ローターの前記前面の外周縁に隣接して前記ローターの中心から等間隔であり、前記突起物が円筒形であり、かつ内胚乳、胚芽及び果皮が分離されるまで前記トウモロコシ粒を前記内部室内に保持するために隣り合う突起物間に約6〜12ミリメートルの空間が存在することを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の装置。
