Claims (7)
- プロトン交換膜を有するタイプの燃料電池の単極端板(4)であって、
前記単極端板(4)は、ハーフプレート(420)、及び該ハーフプレート(420)に固着されるカソード用又はアノード用の単極ハーフプレート(410)によって構成され、
前記単極ハーフプレート(410)は、その中央部分に活性カソード帯域又は活性アノード帯域(411)を含むと共に、その周辺部に、少なくとも2つの酸化剤用の開口部(413)及び少なくとも2つの燃料用の開口部(416)を含み、
単極ハーフプレート(410)がカソード用である場合には、酸化剤の循環を許容するために、各酸化剤用の開口部(413)が、活性カソード帯域(411)の外側に開口する少なくとも1つのチャンネル(414)を含み、
単極ハーフプレート(410)がアノード用である場合には、燃料の循環を許容するために、各燃料用の開口部(416)が、活性アノード帯域(411)の外側に開口する少なくとも1つのチャンネル(414)を含み、
前記ハーフプレート(420)は、中央部分(421)と、その周辺部(422)に、前記酸化剤用の開口部(413)と連通する開口部(423)及び前記燃料用の開口部(416)と連通する開口部(426)とを含み、
前記ハーフプレート(420)の開口部(423、426)のいずれもが、中央部分(421)の外側に開口しておらず、
前記ハーフプレート(420)に固着される単極ハーフプレート(410)がアノード用であるか又はカソード用であるかに応じて、前記ハーフプレート(420)の中央部分(421)がそれぞれカソード用又はアノード用の単極ハーフプレート(410)の中央部分と同一の形状であることを特徴とする単極端板(4)。 - 前記単極ハーフプレート(410)が、その周辺部に少なくとも2つの熱交換流体用の開口部(417)を含み、単極ハーフプレート(410)の中央部分とハーフプレート(420)の中央部分(421)との間に、熱交換流体の循環用空間が画定されており、該循環用空間が連絡チャンネルを介して前記熱交換流体用の開口部(417)に連通することを特徴とする請求項1記載の単極端板(4)。
- 前記ハーフプレート(420)が電流収集板であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の単極端板(4)。
- カソード端部組立部品とアノード端部組立部品の間に固着される電極/膜とバイポーラ・プレートとの交互スタックを含むタイプの燃料電池において、少なくとも1つの端部組立部品が、請求項1又は2に記載の単極端板(4)及び電流収集手段を含むことを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 前記電流収集手段が、単極端板(4)のハーフプレート(420)と接触する電流収集板(2)であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の燃料電池。
- 前記端部組立部品が、単極端板(4)と電流収集板(2)の間のシールを行う周辺間のシール(3)と、ターミナル板(1)とを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項5記載の燃料電池。
- 前記開口部(413)は、燃料電池の長手方向に沿って活性流体を循環させるためのものであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の単極端板(4)。
