Claims (12)
- 複数の連続的に積まれたプレート形状のバッテリーセルを備えるバッテリーモジュールであって、
前記バッテリーモジュールは、2つ以上のセルユニットが、バッテリーセルが電気的に互いに接続された状態で積まれる、構造を有するように構成され、
セルユニットのそれぞれが、バッテリーセルが互いに緊密に密着するような状態で2以上のバッテリーセルが互いに並列に接続される、構造を有するように構成され、
セルユニットのバッテリーセルの電極端子の間の並列接続が単一の溶接ポイントで1対1で溶接されることにより達成され、
前記セルユニットの間の直列接続は、第1セルユニットの電極端子の一端部及び第2セルユニットの電極端子の一端部を、それぞれ、L字形状に曲げ、かつ前記第1セルユニットの電極端子と前記第2セルユニットの電極端子との重複部分を溶接することにより達成されたバッテリーモジュール。 - プレート形状のバッテリーセルのそれぞれが、カソード/セパレーター/アノード構造の電極アセンブリが、樹脂層及び金属層を備えるラミネートシートから形成されるバッテリーケース中に取り付けられ、カソード端子及びアノード端子がバッテリーケースの対向端部から突出するように構成される請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- セルユニットのそれぞれは、バッテリーセルが互いに緊密に接触する状態にバッテリーセルが金属ハウジングに取り付けられる構造を有するように構成される請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- バッテリーセルのカソード端子及びアノード端子を除いて、前記セルユニットの外側を覆うような方法で、2以上のバッテリーセルを覆うように、金属ハウジングが互いに結合され、
前記金属ハウジングが、組み立て結合方式で互いに結合されるように構成されたセクション結合部品を有している請求項3に記載のバッテリーモジュール。 - 金属ハウジングは、前記セルユニットの外側の形状に対応する内側構造を有している請求項4に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記セクション結合部品は、金属ハウジングが互いに向かい合うように、金属ハウジングは互いに接触する状態で、金属ハウジングが押し込まれるとき、金属ハウジングが互いに弾性結合することより係合される雄及び雌結合構造を有するように構成される請求項5に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 金属ハウジングのそれぞれが、高い熱伝導性を示す金属シートから形成される請求項3に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- セルユニットのそれぞれは、2つのバッテリーセルが互いに並列に接続される構造を有するように構成される請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- バッテリーセルの間の並列接続は、第1バッテリーセルの電極端子の一端部を第2のバッテリーセルの電極端子の一側部に、第1バッテリーセルの電極の端部が2回曲げられた状態で緊密に接触する形式で溶接することにより、達成される請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- セルユニットの最も外側の1つの電極端子は、単一の溶接ポイントで1対1に溶接することにより、外部入力及び出力端子に溶接される、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- バッテリーモジュールの数がバッテリーパックの電力出力及び容量に基づいて設定されている、請求項1に記載されている2つ以上のバッテリーモジュールを備えるバッテリーパック。
- 前記バッテリーパックが、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、又はプラグインハイブリッド電気自動車のための電源として使用される請求項11に記載のバッテリーパック。
