Description
インク組成物を、そのコゲーションを低減する能力について評価する。インク配合物A〜Hを、3つの異なるサーマル式インクジェット機構に充填し、まず、安定状態の滴重量に関連するベースラインの読みで発射する。各インク組成物を、各印刷機によって、1000MDPN(ノズル当たり百万滴)で(ノズル当たり10億で)印刷する。ノズルサイズは約20μmである。コゲーション性能は、多量の体積のインクが発射された後、維持されている滴重量を測定することによって判定される。コゲーション試験は、複数のマルチリピートペンによって行い、平均の結果を得る。滴重量データは、2、4、6、8、10、20、50、60、70、80、90及び100MNDPで収集した。滴重量変化は、インク組成物A〜Hそれぞれについて測定され、100百万滴/ノズル以上で、パーセント(%DW変化)で表現される。結果を表3に示す。
表2のインク配合物A〜Hを、その濾過特性について分析する。濾過性能は、インク組成物の詰まり防止の利点、つまり、プリントヘッドに存在するノズル及びフィルタを詰まらせない能力を表す。
Claims (11)
- 前記式(I)及び/又は(II)中、Rは−(CH2)3CH3であり、nは3である、請求項1に記載のコゲーション防止剤。
- 前記コゲーション防止剤が(I)及び/又は(II)を有し、式中、Rが−(CH2)3CH3であり、nが3である、請求項3に記載のインク組成物。
- 前記コゲーション防止剤が、前記インク組成物の0.2〜3重量パーセントを示す量で存在する、請求項3もしくは4に記載のインク組成物。
- 前記着色剤が、インク組成物の1〜6重量パーセントを示す量で存在する、請求項3〜5のいずれか1項に記載のインク組成物。
- 前記着色剤が顔料である、請求項3〜6のいずれか1項に記載のインク組成物。
- 前記インク組成物が、ラテックスをさらに含む、請求項3〜7のいずれか1項に記載のインク組成物。
- 請求項1もしくは2に記載のコゲーション防止剤の製造方法であって、
トリエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、トリエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、トリエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、テトラエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテルからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの純粋な溶剤を、ポリリン酸又は塩化ホスホリル(POCl3)と反応させることを含む、方法。 - 前記インク組成物が、サーマル式インクジェットプリンタによって、媒体基材上に構築される、請求項10に記載の印刷画像を媒体基材上に形成する方法。
