図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受シールを備えた車輪用軸受の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2(a)は、図1のインナー側の車輪用軸受シールを示す縦断面図、(b)は、(a)の正面図、(c)は、(a)の車輪用軸受シールの反路面側の断面を示す拡大図、(d)は、(a)の車輪用軸受シールの路面側の断面を示す拡大図、図3(a)は、図2の車輪用軸受シールの変形例を示す縦断面図、(b)は、(a)の車輪用軸受シールの反路面側の断面を示す拡大図、(c)は、(a)の車輪用軸受シールの路面側の断面を示す拡大図、図4(a)は、図3の車輪用軸受シールの変形例を示す縦断面図、(b)は、(a)の車輪用軸受シールの反路面側の断面を示す拡大図、(c)は、(a)の車輪用軸受シールの路面側の断面を示す拡大図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウター側(図1の左側)、中央寄り側をインナー側(図1の右側)という。

Claims (12)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面が一体に形成された外方部材と、
この外方部材に複列の転動体を介して内挿され、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面を有する内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材との間に形成された環状空間の少なくとも一方の開口部に装着され、互いに対向配置された環状のシール板とスリンガとからなる複合型のシールで構成され、
前記シール板が、前記外方部材の端部内周に圧入される芯金と、この芯金に加硫接着により一体に接合され、少なくとも径方向外方に傾斜して延びるサイドリップを一体に有するシール部材を備え、
前記スリンガが断面略L字状に形成され、前記内方部材の端部外周に圧入される円筒部と、この円筒部から径方向外方に延びる立板部とを有し、この立板部に前記サイドリップが所定の軸方向シメシロを介して摺接された車輪用軸受シールにおいて、
前記シール部材の端部に前記シール板とスリンガとの間に形成される環状空間を閉塞するひさし部が一体に形成され、このひさし部がドレーン部となる路面側に位置する下方部分を除く周方向部分に形成されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受シール。 - 前記シール部材が前記芯金の嵌合部の端部外周面から内径部の内縁まで回り込んで固着されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記ひさし部の内径が、前記スリンガの立板部の外径よりも小径に設定され、当該ひさし部が前記立板部と軽接触されているか、または、僅かなすきまを介して対向し、ラビリンスシールが形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記ひさし部の先端部に予めグリースが塗布されている請求項1または3に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記グリースが、軸受内部に封入されるグリースおよび前記シールリップに塗布されるグリースと同じ仕様、あるいは少なくともその基油と増ちょう剤が同じである請求項4に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記スリンガの立板部の側面に磁気エンコーダが加硫接着で一体に接合され、この磁気エンコーダがエラストマに磁性体粉が混入され、周方向等配で交互に磁極N、Sが着磁されていると共に、前記ひさし部が前記磁気エンコーダと軽接触されているか、または、僅かなすきまを介して対向し、ラビリンスシールが形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記ひさし部から内径側に亙って前記ドレーン部のシール部材に比べ漸次厚肉になる傾斜部が形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記傾斜部が前記ひさし部を有する部分から前記ドレーン部に亙って、前記シール部材の肉厚が漸次減少して行くように形成されている請求項7に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記シール部材の肉厚のうち前記ひさし部を有する部分の肉厚が前記ドレーン部に位置する肉厚に比べ大きく設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記サイドリップのシメシロのうち前記ひさし部を有する部分のシメシロが前記ドレーン部に位置する部分のシメシロに比べ小さく設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記ひさし部が形成されていない前記ドレーン部が45〜75°の範囲に設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
- 前記シール部材が合成ゴムからなり、このシール部材の温度TR10が−35℃以下に設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受シール。
