Claims (2)
- それぞれ電極触媒層とガス拡散層とを有する第1電極及び第2電極が、固体高分子電解質膜の両側に設けられ、前記第1電極は、前記第2電極よりも外形寸法が小さく設定される一方、前記固体高分子電解質膜の外周を周回し、該固体高分子電解質膜の端部と接合するとともに、前記第1電極の外周端及び前記第2電極の外周端とも接合して樹脂製枠部材が設けられる樹脂枠付き電解質膜・電極構造体と、
前記樹脂枠付き電解質膜・電極構造体の両面に配置されるセパレータと、
を備える燃料電池であって、
前記樹脂枠付き電解質膜・電極構造体は、前記樹脂製枠部材の内部空間に位置し、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極間に前記固体高分子電解質膜を挟んだ発電部と、
前記第1電極の外方に位置し、前記第2電極及び前記樹脂製枠部材間に前記固体高分子電解質膜を挟んだ段差部と、
を有し、
前記燃料電池が締め付けられた際、前記段差部は、両側を前記セパレータにより挟持されるとともに、
前記段差部における締め代は、前記発電部における締め代よりも小さな寸法に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記燃料電池が締め付けられた際、前記樹脂製枠部材と前記第2電極に接する前記セパレータとの間には、隙間が形成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
