Description

Claims (8)
- 第1リザーバ12と第2リザーバ18との間の流体の流れを制御するように構成されたバルブアセンブリ20であって、
該バルブアセンブリ20は、
前記第1リザーバ12から前記第2リザーバ18に向かう方向に流れる燃料蒸気38が通過する、第1の流体流通路と、
第1の流体流通路を迂回して、前記第1リザーバ12から前記第2リザーバ18に向かう方向に流れる燃料蒸気60が通過する、第2の流体流通路と、
第1の流体流通路及び第2の流体流通路を迂回して、前記第1リザーバ12から前記第2リザーバ18に向かう方向に流れる燃料蒸気62A、又は、前記第2リザーバ18から前記第1リザーバ12に向かう方向に流れる燃料蒸気62Bが通過する、第3の流体流通路と、
前記第1リザーバ12内の圧力が第1の既定圧力値を超えた場合に前記第1の流体流通路を開口するように構成されたリリーフバルブ28と、
前記第1リザーバ12から前記第2リザーバ18への流体の流量が既定基準値を超えた状態で、前記第2の流体流通路を開口するように構成されたソレノイドアセンブリ40と、
前記第1リザーバ12から前記第2リザーバ18への流体の流量が既定基準値以下で、かつ、前記第1リザーバ12内の圧力が、第2の既定圧力値以下の場合に、前記第3の流体流通路を開口するように構成された流量制限器50とを含み、
前記ソレノイドアセンブリ40は、前記流量制限器50が備えるピストン52に設けられた通路56を選択的に開閉するように構成されたアーマチュア42と、該アーマチュア42を変位させることにより前記流量制限器50が備えるピストン52に設けられた通路56を閉鎖するために十分な力を発生するように構成されたソレノイドスプリング44と、前記アーマチュア42を励磁して、前記ソレノイドスプリング44に打ち勝って、前記流量制限器50が備えるピストン52に設けられた通路56を開口するように構成されたコイル46とを含んでおり、

前記第1リザーバ12から前記第2リザーバ18への流体の流量が既定基準値を超えた状態で、前記ソレノイドアセンブリ40が励磁された前記アーマチュア42を変位させるとき、前記流量制限器50が備えるピストン52に設けられた通路56が開口され、かつ、前記スプリング58が燃料蒸気の流れの力によって圧縮され、前記第2の流体流通路を開口するように構成され、
前記コイル46は、前記流体の流量が前記既定基準値以下の場合に、前記ソレノイドスプリング44に打ち勝ち、また、前記ソレノイドスプリング44は、前記第1リザーバ12が正の圧力の場合には、前記流量制限器50が前記第3の流体流通路を閉鎖するために十分な力を発生するが、前記ソレノイドアセンブリ40が励磁された前記アーマチュア42を変位させる場合、および、前記第1リザーバ12が負の圧力の場合には、前記第3の流体流通路を閉鎖するためには不十分であることにより、前記流量制限器50は前記第3の流体流通路を開口するように構成されており、
前記第1の既定圧力値は、前記第2の既定圧力値より大きいことを特徴とするバルブアセンブリ20。 - さらに、前記第1の流体流通路、前記第2の流体流通路及び前記第3の流体流通路を含むハウジング22を含んでおり、該ハウジング22内に、前記リリーフバルブ28、前記ソレノイドアセンブリ40及び前記流量制限器50が配置されており、また、前記ハウジング22内に、前記リリーフバルブ28、前記流量制限器50及び前記ソレノイドアセンブリ40を保持するように構成されたカバー66を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバルブアセンブリ20。

前記第1のコネクタ24の流体の流量が既定基準値を上回り、かつ、前記コイルが前記アーマチュア42を前記カバー66へ向けて引き込むよう制御するとき、前記通路34を開放することなく、前記常閉通路56は、前記第1のコネクタ24と前記第2のコネクタ26との間の流体連通を許容し、
前記第1のコネクタ24の流体の流量が既定基準値以下で、かつ、前記コイルが前記アーマチュア42を前記カバー66へと引き込むよう制御するとき、前記通路34を開放することなく、前記圧力シール54は上昇して前記第1のコネクタ24から前記第2のコネクタ26への流体連通を許容し、
前記第1のコネクタ24が第2の既定圧力よりも低い圧力の流体に曝されたとき、流体は前記圧力シール54を前記カバー66へ向けて押し退け、前記第2のコネクタ26から前記第1のコネクタ24への流体連通を許容することを特徴とするバルブアセンブリ20。
