R2は、C1−C60−アルキル、C6−C18−アリール、C1−C4−アルキレン−C6−C12−アリールまたはC3−C18−ヘテロアリールを表し、
R4は、直鎖状もしくは分枝状C1−C40−アルキル、C5−C30−シクロアルキル、C1−C4−アルキレン−C6−C12−アリールまたはC6−C30−アリールを意味し、
R6は、−COO−(CH2)p−を意味し、

からなることを特徴とする、顔料調合物である。
含湿プレスケーキ(35重量%)の形の商業的に入手可能なC.I.ピグメントイエロー155(Toner(登録商標)Yellow 3GP)60gを、水1,000g中の完成したコポリマー6.8gと1時間50℃で混合した。次いで、この表面コートされた顔料を濾別し、濾液の伝導率が<0.5mS/cmとなるまで水で洗浄した。このコートされた顔料を、80℃で循環空気乾燥キャビネット中で乾燥し、次いで粉末化した。65gの顔料調合物が得られた。

1.粘度:
顔料調合物を、ガラスビーズを添加して、5%の濃度でスチレン中にペイントシェーカーで分散する。篩を用いてガラスビーズを分離した後、この分散物について、コーン・プレート粘度計を用いて粘度曲線(T=23℃、剪断速度60秒間で0〜250s−1)を記録する。以下の表に、250s−1の剪断速度での値を示す。

0.1gの顔料を10gの水に加える。顔料が水の表面上に残るか(高疎水度)または水に濡れて底に沈むか(低疎水度)を観察する。次いで、この顔料/水混合物を短時間、手で振盪し、次いでもう一度目視評価する。
評価:
++ = 非常に高い疎水度(顔料は濡れず、水の表面上に残る)、
+ = 高い疎水度(殆どの量の試料が水表面上に残り、水相が着色される)、
− = 低い疎水度(顔料は水で濡れて底に沈む)
Claims (14)
- A)5〜99重量%の式(1)のアゾ顔料;
(i)1〜70モル%の構造単位B1
R1、R3及びR5は、互いに独立して、水素またはC1−C4−アルキルであり、
R2は、C1−C60−アルキル、C6−C18−アリール、C1−C4−アルキレン−C6−C12−アリールまたはC3−C18−ヘテロアリールを表し、
R4は、直鎖状もしくは分枝状C1−C40−アルキル、C5−C30−シクロアルキル、C1−C4−アルキレン−C6−C12−アリールまたはC6−C30−アリールを意味し、
R6は、−COO−(CH2)p−を意味し、
pは、1〜8の数を表し、
R7、R8及びR9は、互いに独立して、水素、直鎖状もしくは分枝状C1−C40−アルキル、C5−C30−シクロアルキル、C6−C30−アリールまたはベンジルを意味し、そして
nは、0〜1の数を表す]
を含む、固形顔料調合物。 - A)40〜95重量%の式(1)のアゾ顔料、及び
B)5〜60重量%のコポリマー、
を含む、請求項1に記載の顔料調合物。 - コポリマー(B)が、
(i)5〜60モル%の構造単位B1、
(ii)5〜60モル%の構造単位B2、及び
(iii)5〜60モル%の構造単位B3、
を含む、請求項1または2に記載の顔料調合物。 - コポリマー(B)が、
(i)1〜70モル%は構造単位B1、
(ii)1〜70モル%は構造単位B2、及び
(iii)1〜70モル%は構造単位B3、
からなる、請求項1または2に記載の顔料調合物。 - R1、R3及びR5が、同一かまたは異なり、水素またはメチルを意味する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物。
- R2が、C6−C30−アルキル、C6−C10−アリール、ベンジル、5または6員の芳香族窒素含有C3−C9−ヘテロ環を意味する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物。
- R4が、C1−C20−アルキル、C5−C6−シクロアルキル、ベンジル、フェニルまたはナフチルを意味する、請求項1〜6のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物。
- R7、R8及びR9が、同一かまたは異なり、水素、C1−C8−アルキル、C5−C6−シクロアルキル、フェニルまたはベンジルを意味する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物。
- 式(1)の顔料が30〜500nmの粒度(d50)を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物。
- フィラー、難燃剤、防腐剤、光保護剤、顔料系もしくは非顔料系分散剤、界面活性剤、酸化防止剤、樹脂、ワックス、消泡剤、帯電防止剤または荷電制御剤の群からの助剤を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物。
- 式(1)の顔料を、粉末、グラニュール、プレスケーキまたは懸濁物の形態で、水または有機溶剤の存在下に、あるいは水と有機溶剤との混合物の存在下に、少なくとも一種のコポリマー(B)と混合し、次いで固形の形態で単離することを特徴とする、請求項1〜10のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物の製造方法。
- 天然及び合成材料の顔料着色及び染色のための、請求項1〜10のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物の使用。
- 壁紙用着色剤、印刷インキ、エマルションペイント、着色ニス、電子写真用トナーもしくは現像剤、インクジェット用インキ、またはカラーフィルターの顔料着色のための、請求項12に記載の使用。
- 各々電子写真用トナーの総重量を基準にして、バインダー30〜99.99重量%、請求項1〜10のいずれか一つに記載の顔料調合物0.001〜50重量%、場合により更に別の着色剤0.001〜50重量%、場合によりワックス0.01〜50重量%、及び場合により荷電制御剤0.01〜50重量%を含む、電子写真用トナー。
