マルチゾーン微多孔性膜は、以下の点を除いて、実施例1と類似の方法によって形成された:ポリエーテルスルホンポリマー(Ultrson E−6020;BASF、ロケーション(location))を第1及び第2ドープ配合物に使用した;第1湿度レベルは45℃で50%であり、第2湿度レベルは43℃で65%であった。得られたFFBPプロファイル(図示せず)は、4.5psi(31kPa)の第1ゾーン圧力ピークを有するマルチゾーンモルホロジーを支持していた。実施例2の試験結果を、表1に示す。
マルチゾーン微多孔性膜は、以下の点を除いて、実施例1と類似の方法によって形成された:第1ドープ層を供給するためのデュアルナイフオーバーロール装置のギャップ寸法は、350マイクロメートルに設定した;第2ドープ層を供給するためのギャップ寸法は、125マイクロメートルに設定した;第1相対湿度レベルは、47.2℃で48パーセントであった;第2相対湿度レベルは、45.6℃で70パーセントであった。得られたFFBPプロファイル(図示せず)は、4.5psi(31kPa)の第1ゾーン圧力ピークを有するマルチゾーンモルホロジーを支持していた。実施例3の結果を、表1に示す。
組み合わせ膜の構築に使用するために、単一層の単一ゾーン微多孔性膜(滅菌グレード膜)を調製した。実施例1のデュアルナイフオーバーロール装置を使用して、単一ゾーン微多孔性膜を形成した。実施例2の第2ドープ配合物をキャストし、43%の第1相対湿度レベル及び45℃にさらした。次に、単一ドープ配合物層を65パーセントの第2相対湿度レベル及び43.3℃にさらした。得られた材料を洗浄し、乾燥させた。
Claims (3)
- 微多孔性膜を形成する方法であって、
支持体上に複数のドープ配合物をキャストして、第1主表面を有する多層シートを得ることと、
水蒸気が前記第1主表面内に拡散し、前記多層シートが準安定状態に転換するように、前記多層シートを第1相対湿度レベルにさらすことと、
微多孔性膜を得るために追加の水蒸気が前記多層シート中に拡散して相分離が生じるように、前記多層シートを、前記第1相対湿度レベルより大きい第2相対湿度レベルにさらすことと、
前記微多孔性膜を洗浄することと、
前記微多孔性膜を乾燥させることと、
を含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法により製造された、複数の孔を個別に有する第1ゾーン及び第2ゾーンを含むマルチゾーン微多孔性膜であって、
前記第1ゾーンの平均孔径は前記第2ゾーンの平均孔径より大きく、
前記マルチゾーン微多孔性膜の水分流動率測定値が、少なくとも3,000lmh/psi(0.44lmh/Pa)であり、
前記マルチゾーン微多孔性膜の前進流バブルポイント測定値が、5psi(34kPa)未満の第1ゾーン圧力ピーク及び15psi(103kPa)未満の初期バブルポイント圧力測定値を含む、マルチゾーン微多孔性膜。 - 単一ゾーン微多孔性膜に積層された請求項2に記載のマルチゾーン微多孔性膜を含み、前記単一ゾーン微多孔性膜は前記第2ゾーンに隣接して積層されており、前記単一ゾーン微多孔性膜の平均孔径が前記第2ゾーンの平均孔径より小さい、微多孔性膜の組み合わせ。
