Description
前記電解溶液が、炭酸カリウム、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、炭酸アンモニウム、水酸化リチウム、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化カリウム、水酸化アンモニウム、塩化ナトリウム、塩化カリウム、塩化マグネシウム、塩化アンモニウム、リチウムの硫酸塩、ナトリウムの硫酸塩、マグネシウムの硫酸塩、カリウムの硫酸塩、アンモニウムの硫酸塩、リチウムの硝酸塩、ナトリウムの硝酸塩、マグネシウムの硝酸塩、カリウムの硝酸塩、アンモニウムの硝酸塩、リチウムのクエン酸塩、ナトリウムのクエン酸塩、マグネシウムのクエン酸塩、カリウムのクエン酸塩、アンモニウムのクエン酸塩、硫酸、硝酸、塩酸およびクエン酸よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種と水からなる水溶液であることを特徴とする。
図1(a)に示す表面処理装置を用いて、陽極電極と陰極電極との間に印加する電圧を表1に示すように変化させて被処理材の表面を処理した。
具体的には、被処理材および陰極電極が一体となった金属材料として、厚さ0.8mm、幅3mm、長さ70mmの短冊状の冷延鋼板(Cを0.018質量%、Siを0.010質量%、Mnを0.140質量%含有)を使用し、陽極電極として、メッシュ状の白金(Pt)電極(直径0.5mm、長さ約640mmのPtワイヤーを縦40mm×横100mmの範囲内に互いに接触しないようにジグザグに配置したもの)を用いた。また、電解溶液としては、予め95℃まで加熱した炭酸カリウム(K2CO3)の0.1mol/L水溶液を用いた。そして、金属材料および陽極電極の一部(長さ12mm)を電解溶液中に浸漬した状態で、陽極電極と陰極電極(金属材料)との間に90〜120Vの電圧を60分間印加して表面処理金属材料を作製し、供試材とした(試験例2〜4)。また、比較として無処理の金属材料(冷延鋼板)を準備し、供試材とした(試験例1)。
そして、各供試材の表面の状態および摺動性を以下の方法で評価した。結果を表1に示す。
なお、陰極電極として上記冷延鋼板を用い、陽極電極としてメッシュ状のPt電極を用い、電解溶液としてK2CO3の0.1mol/L水溶液を用いた表面処理系における完全プラズマ状態を呈する電圧V1を調べたところ、117Vであった。
各供試材について、電解溶液の液面から距離hの位置の表面状態を低加速SEM(加速電圧:1kV)で観察し、表面に微細凹凸形状が形成されているか等を調査した。また、各供試材の表層の組成をSEMに付属したエネルギー分散型X線検出器(EDS)により評価し、供試材の表面から1μmまでの表層部分が酸化しているか否かを調査した。
<摺動性評価>
各供試材の表面(電解溶液の液面から距離hの位置における供試材の幅方向の中心部)の摩擦係数を、CSM社製のナノトライボメーターを用いて評価した。
具体的には、直径1.5mmの金属球(材質SUJ2)を供試材の表面に5nNの荷重で押し付け、直径が0.5mmの円周上を速度5mm/sで回転させて、金属球を供試材上で合計9m摺動させた。そして、押し付け荷重に対する引っ張り荷重の比率を摩擦係数として求め、9m摺動させる間の摩擦係数の平均値と標準偏差(摩擦係数振動σ)を記録した。なお、平均摩擦係数および摩擦係数振動の双方が小さい供試材ほど、摺動性が安定して優れている。
図1(a)に示す表面処理装置を用いて、陽極電極と陰極電極との間に125Vの電圧を60分間印加して表面処理金属材料を作製し、供試材とした。なお、被処理材および陰極電極が一体となった金属材料、陽極電極および電解溶液には、試験例2〜4と同様のものを使用した。
そして、供試材の各位置の摺動性等を試験例1〜4と同様の方法で評価した。結果を表2に示す。また、供試材の全体写真および供試材の各位置の表面のSEM写真を図2に示し、電解溶液の液面から5mmの位置(試験例7)における供試材の表層の断面のSEM写真(反射電子像)を図3に示す。なお、処理前の被処理材(試験例1の無処理の冷延鋼板に相当)の表面は、図4に示すような状態であった。
なお、図3より、上述した微細な凹凸形状は被処理材である金属材料自身で形成されていると推察される。また、透過電子顕微鏡(TEM)を用いて試験例6〜10で形成された微粒子を解析した結果、微粒子は金属と酸化物との混合物からなることが分かった。

Claims (5)
- 電解溶液中に陽極電極と陰極電極とを浸漬し、更に、前記電解溶液の液面よりも上方に、被処理材としての金属材料を配設した後、前記陽極電極と陰極電極との間に100V以上300V以下の電圧を印加してプラズマ放電させることにより、前記金属材料の表面を処理する表面処理工程を含み、
前記電解溶液が、炭酸カリウム、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、炭酸アンモニウム、水酸化リチウム、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化カリウム、水酸化アンモニウム、塩化ナトリウム、塩化カリウム、塩化マグネシウム、塩化アンモニウム、リチウムの硫酸塩、ナトリウムの硫酸塩、マグネシウムの硫酸塩、カリウムの硫酸塩、アンモニウムの硫酸塩、リチウムの硝酸塩、ナトリウムの硝酸塩、マグネシウムの硝酸塩、カリウムの硝酸塩、アンモニウムの硝酸塩、リチウムのクエン酸塩、ナトリウムのクエン酸塩、マグネシウムのクエン酸塩、カリウムのクエン酸塩、アンモニウムのクエン酸塩、硫酸、硝酸、塩酸およびクエン酸よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種と水からなる水溶液であることを特徴とする、表面処理金属材料の製造方法。 - 前記金属材料を前記陰極電極と電気的に接続させて配設することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表面処理金属材料の製造方法。
- 前記金属材料が、前記陰極電極から独立した別体で構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の表面処理金属材料の製造方法。
- 前記金属材料が、前記液面と水平に配設された鋼板であり、
前記電解溶液の液面と前記鋼板表面との間の距離を、2mm以上30mm以下の範囲内とすることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3の何れかに記載の表面処理金属材料の製造方法。 - 前記金属材料が冷延鋼板であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4の何れかに記載の表面処理金属材料の製造方法。
