Description
Claims (6)
- 内側ルーメンを画定する内側ルーメン部材、および外側ルーメンを画定する外側ルーメン部材を備える同軸カテーテルを有するカテーテルシステムにおいて、
近位の大径バレル区分、テーパ部分、および遠位の小径バレル区分を含むカテーテル洗浄マンドレル本体であって、前記テーパ部分が近位の大径バレル区分を遠位の小径バレル区分につなぎ、前記近位の大径バレル区分が大径を有し、前記遠位の小径バレル区分が小径を有し、前記小径は大径よりも小さく、前記小径が前記内側ルーメンの径よりも小さく、前記大径が前記外側ルーメンに配置されたガイドワイヤ出口ポートの内径を上回り、前記テーパ部分が前記外側ルーメンのガイドワイヤ出口ポートとともに流体の流れを阻止するためのシールを形成するカテーテル洗浄マンドレル本体とを備える、
ことを特徴とするカテーテルシステム。 - 内側ルーメンおよび外側ルーメンを含む同軸カテーテルを提供するステップと、
カテーテル洗浄マンドレルを前記内側ルーメン内に挿入するステップと、
前記挿入に基づき、前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルと前記外側ルーメンのガイドワイヤ出口ポートの内径を画定する壁との間に流体の流れを阻止するためのシールを形成するステップと、
前記形成されたシールに基づき前記外側ルーメンを洗浄するステップと、
前記洗浄後に前記流体の流れを阻止するためのシールを破るステップと、
前記内側ルーメンの洗浄に基づき前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルを取り除くステップと、
前記破られたシールに基づき前記内側ルーメンを洗浄するステップと、を備えている、 ことを特徴とするカテーテルを洗浄する方法。 - 前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルが、近位の大径バレル区分、テーパ部分、および遠位の小径バレル区分を含むカテーテル洗浄マンドレル本体を備え、前記テーパ部分が前記近位の大径バレル区分を前記遠位の小径バレル区分につなぎ、前記近位の大径バレル区分が大径を有し、前記遠位の小径バレル区分が小径を有し、前記小径は前記大径よりも小さく、前記小径が前記内側マンドレルルーメンの径よりも小さく、前記大径が前記外側ルーメンのガイドワイヤ出口ポートの内径の直径を上回り、前記テーパ部分が前記外側ルーメンのガイドワイヤ出口ポートとともに流体の流れを阻止するためのシールを形成する、
請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記外側ルーメンにある前記ガイドワイヤ出口ポートを介して前記内側ルーメン内にカテーテル洗浄マンドレルを挿入することが、前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルのテーパ部が前記外側ルーメンのガイドワイヤ出口ポートの内径を画定する前記壁と接触するまで前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルを前記内側ルーメンの中に前進させることを含む、
請求項3に記載の方法。 - 前記内側ルーメン内にカテーテル洗浄マンドレルを挿入することが、前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルにあるテーパが前記外側ルーメンのガイドワイヤ出口ポートの内径を画定する前記壁と接触するまで、前記外側ルーメンにある前記ガイドワイヤ出口ポートを介して前記内側ルーメン内に前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルを前進させることを含む、
請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記流体の流れを阻止するためのシールを破ることが、前記カテーテル洗浄マンドレルを前記同軸カテーテルから軸方向に完全に取り除くことを含む、
