Description
紫外線硬化性インクを基材へ塗布するステップと;
インクをLED光源からの紫外線に露光することによってインクを部分硬化させるステップと;
部分硬化したインクをフラッシュランプからの紫外線に露光するステップと
を含む方法を提供する。
1=硬化していない、膜は完全に濡れている
2=一部硬化しているが、軟らかくべたついている
3=基材へ良好に密着しているが、インク表面は濡れている
4=基材へ良好に密着しているが、表面は粘着性がある
5=インクの膜は完全に硬化しており、基材へ良好に密着し、インク表面は粘着性がない
I型:2−メチル−1[4−(メチルチオ)フェニル]−2−モルホリノプロパン−1−オン(Irgacure 907)、2−ベンジル−2−ジメチルアミノ−1−(4−モルホリノフェニル)−ブタノン−1(Irgacure 369)、2−(ジメチルアミノ)−2−[(4−メチルフェニル)メチル]−1−[4−(4−モルホリニル)フェニル]−1−ブタノン、(Irgacure 379)。
II型 イソプロピルチオキサントン、ジエチルチオキサントン、2−クロロチオキサントン。
I型 ビス(2,6−ジメチルベンゾイル)−2,4,4−トリメチルペンチルホスフィンオキシド
II型 カンファーキノン、1−フェニル−1,2−プロパンジオン
から選択される、Norrish I型およびNorrish II型光開始剤が挙げられる。
a)2−メチル−1[4−(メチルチオ)フェニル]−2−モルホリノプロパン−1−オン、2−ベンジル−2−ジメチルアミノ−1−(4−モルホリノフェニル)−ブタノン−1,2−(ジメチルアミノ)−2−[(4−メチルフェニル)メチル]−1−[4−(4−モルホリニル)フェニル]−1−ブタノン、イソプロピルチオキサントン、ジエチルチオキサントンまたは2−クロロチオキサントンのうち1つまたは複数;および
ビス(2,6−ジメチルベンゾイル)−2,4,4−トリメチルペンチルホスフィンオキシド、2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル−ジフェニルホスフィンオキシド、エチル(2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル)−フェニルホスフィネートまたは1−[4−(2−ヒドロキシエトキシ)−フェニル]−2−ヒドロキシ−2−メチル−1−プロパン−1−オンのうちの1つ;
b)ビス(2,6−ジメチルベンゾイル)−2,4,4−トリメチルペンチルホスフィンオキシド、2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル−ジフェニルホスフィンオキシド、エチル(2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル)−フェニルホスフィネート、ビス(2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル)−フェニルホスフィンオキシドまたはイソプロピルチオキサントン;および1−[4−(2−ヒドロキシエトキシ)−フェニル]−2−ヒドロキシ−2−メチル−1−プロパン−1−オンのうちの1つまたは複数;または
c)ビス(2,6−ジメチルベンゾイル)−2,4,4−トリメチルペンチルホスフィンオキシド、カンホルキノンまたは1−フェニル−1,2−プロパンジオン;および1−[4−(2−ヒドロキシエトキシ)−フェニル]−2−ヒドロキシ−2−メチル−1−プロパン−1−オンのうちの1つまたは複数。
a)2−メチル−1[4−(メチルチオ)フェニル]−2−モルホリノプロパン−1−オン、2−ベンジル−2−ジメチルアミノ−1−(4−モルホリノフェニル)−ブタノン−1、または2−(ジメチルアミノ)−2−[(4−メチルフェニル)メチル]−1−[4−(4−モルホリニル)フェニル]−1−ブタノン;および1−[4−(2−ヒドロキシエトキシ)−フェニル]−2−ヒドロキシ−2−メチル−1−プロパン−1−オンのうちの1つまたは複数;
b)ビス(2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル)−フェニルホスフィンオキシドまたはイソプロピルチオキサントン;および1−[4−(2−ヒドロキシエトキシ)−フェニル]−2−ヒドロキシ−2−メチル−1−プロパン−1−オンのうちの1つまたは複数:または
c)ビス(2,6−ジメチルベンゾイル)−2,4,4−トリメチルペンチルホスフィンオキシド、カンホルキノンまたは1−フェニル−1,2−プロパンジオン;および1−[4−(2−ヒドロキシエトキシ)−フェニル]−2−ヒドロキシ−2−メチル−1−プロパン−1−オンのうちの1つまたは複数。
以下の組成を有するシアン、イエロー、マゼンタ、および黒色のインクジェット用インク処方物を、所与の量(パーセンテージは重量により示され、インクの総重量を基準とする)で成分を混合することによって調製した。
220ミクロンの光沢PVC基材上にno.2Kバーを用いてインクを引き、12ミクロンのウェット膜を被着させた。次いでFusion UV systems incのコンベヤー乾燥機DVS99 OGEに取り付けられた4W/cm2 Phoseon RX Starfire Max 150 395nm LEDを用いて、インク膜を部分硬化させた。LEDと基材との間の間隔は6mmに設定した。乾燥機上の従来の水銀ランプのスイッチを切り、ベルトのスピードを毎分15メートルに設定した。それぞれの膜を、インク膜がちょうど基材へ接着される時点まで(耐スクラッチ性により評価される)部分硬化させる。硬化の度合いは、LEDデバイスの電力スループットの割合を0%から100%まで5%きざみで変化させることによって制御した。次いで部分硬化した印刷物をキセノンフラッシュランプ下に置き、粘着性のない膜に達するのに必要なフラッシュの回数を測定した(指をインク表面へ押しつけることによって評価される)。結果を表2に示す。
表3は、実施例1で提供される黒色インク、および光開始剤系を変更させた第2の黒色インクの組成を示す(パーセンテージは重量により示され、インクの総重量を基準とする)。
Claims (17)
- ラジカル重合系の紫外線硬化性インクを基材へ塗布するステップと;
インクをLED光源からの紫外線に露光することによって印刷された膜の全体にわたってインクを部分硬化させるステップと;
部分硬化したインクをフラッシュランプからの紫外線に露光することによってインクを表面硬化させるステップとを含む方法。 - LED光源が、250〜450nmのピーク照射線を放射する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 部分硬化ステップの間にインクに供給される紫外線量が、10〜300mJ/cm2である、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- LED光源が、最大出力の90%以下で紫外線を放射する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 紫外線硬化性インクが、紫外線硬化性モノマー若しくはオリゴマー、またはそれらの混合物;光開始剤、および着色剤を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- インクが、単官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマー、多官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマー、またはそれらの組合せを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- インクがN−ビニルアミドおよび/またはN−アクリロイルアミンを含む、請求項5または6に記載の方法。
- インクが、インクの総重量を基準として1〜30重量%のオリゴマーを含む、請求項5から7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- インクが、単官能性(メタ)アクリレートモノマー、N−ビニルアミド、および/またはN−(メタ)アクリロイルアミン、少なくとも1つの多官能性(メタ)アクリレート、および紫外線硬化性オリゴマーを含む、請求項5から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- インクが、少なくとも1つの多官能性アクリレートモノマーと共にTHFA/NVC、IBOA/NVC、PEA/NVC、CTFA/NVC、IBOA/ACMO、またはIBOA/NVPを含む、請求項5から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- インクが、アクリル酸フェノキシエチル、NVC、および少なくとも1つの多官能性アクリレートモノマーを含む、請求項5から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 光開始剤が、2−メチル−1[4−(メチルチオ)フェニル]−2−モルホリノプロパン−1−オン(Irgacure 907)、2−ベンジル−2−ジメチルアミノ−1−(4−モルホリノフェニル)−ブタノン−1(Irgacure 369)、2−(ジメチルアミノ)−2−[(4−メチルフェニル)メチル]−1−[4−(4−モルホリニル)フェニル]−1ブタノン、(Irgacure 379)、イソプロピルチオキサントン、ジエチルチオキサントン、2−クロロチオキサントン、ビス(2,6−ジメチルベンゾイル)−2,4,4−トリメチルペンチルホスフィンオキシド、2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル−ジフェニルホスフィンオキシド、エチル(2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル)−フェニルホスフィネート、ビス(2,4,6−トリメチルベンゾイル)−フェニルホスフィンオキシド、カンファーキノン、1−フェニル−1,2−プロパンジオン、および1−[4−(2−ヒドロキシエトキシ)−フェニル]−2−ヒドロキシ−2−メチル−1−プロパン−1−オン(Irgacure 2959)のうちの1つまたは複数から選択される、請求項5から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ラジカル重合系の紫外線硬化性インクを基材へ塗布する手段と;
紫外線を放射して印刷された膜の全体にわたってインクを部分硬化させることができるLED光源と;
紫外線を放射してインクを表面硬化させることができるフラッシュランプと
を含む印刷装置。 - フラッシュランプがキセノンフラッシュランプまたはクリプトンフラッシュランプである、請求項13に記載の印刷装置。
- 基材へ塗布されたインクを、LED光源からの紫外線に露光した後、フラッシュランプからの紫外線に露光するようにフラッシュランプを配置する、請求項14に記載の印刷装置。
- 紫外線硬化性インクを基材へ塗布する手段がインクジェットプリンターである、請求項14または15に記載の印刷装置。
- 2つまたはそれを超えるフラッシュランプを含む、請求項14から16のいずれか一項に記載の印刷装置。
