Description
本願は、2009年9月25日に出願された米国仮出願第61/245,680号の利益を主張する。米国仮出願第61/245,680号の全内容は、引用により本明細書に援用する。
発明の属する分野
本発明は、積層ポリマーフォーム物品及び積層ポリマーフォーム物品の製造方法に関する。
対照基準
押出ポリスチレン(XPS)フォーム(ROOFMATE(登録商標)SP−X、ROOFMATEはThe Dow Chemical Companyの商標である)のそれぞれ60ミリメートルの厚さを有する2枚のボードを用意する。XPSフォームボードはそれらの主表面にスキンを有する。これらXPSフォームボードのうちの1つの主表面に2パート型ポリウレタン接着剤(例えば、5:1の比でSIKA(登録商標)FORCE 7010とSIKA(登録商標)FORCE 7710 L100;SIKAはSika AG corporationの商標である)を、表面1平方メートル当り1000グラムのコーティング密度で適用する。XPSフォームの接着剤で被覆された表面上に他方のXPSフォームを配置し、それらを固定した。両ボードに2.5キログラム毎平方センチメートルの圧縮力を24時間加えてそれらを圧縮した。EN1607に記載の基準に従って両ボード間の引張結合強度を測定した。
直径2ミリメートルのピンを取り付けたローラーを使用して、接着されるXPSフォームの表面を穿孔したことを除いて対照と同様に比較例(Comp Ex)Aを作製し試験した。ローラー上のピンの配置は、XPSフォームの穿孔された表面が表面積1平方センチメートル当り1.64平方ミリメートル(mm2/cm2)の穿孔面積を有するようなものである。XPSフォーム中への孔の深さは5ミリメートルである。
XPSフォームの穿孔された表面が4.15mm2/cm2の穿孔面積を有するようにピンを配置したことを除いて比較例Aと同様に比較例B(Comp Ex B)を作製し試験した。
直径0.8ミリメートルのピンを使用し、そしてそれらを、XPSフォームの穿孔された表面が0.50mm2/cm2の穿孔面積を有するように配置したことを除いて、比較例Aと同様に実施例(Ex)1を作製し試験した。
実施例2〜5については、XPSフォームの穿孔された表面がそれぞれ1.57、2.78、2.80及び5.12mm2/cm2の穿孔面積を有するようにピンを配置したことを除いて、実施例1(Ex 1)と同様に実施例2〜5(Ex 2〜5)を作製し試験した。
Claims (5)
- 積層配向している少なくとも2つの熱可塑性ポリマーフォームを含み、熱可塑性ポリマーフォームのそれぞれが、
(a)ポリマースキンを含む隣接表面;
(b)隣接表面に対して垂直な方向の厚さ寸法;
(c)隣接表面を貫いてフォームの厚さ寸法未満の深さまで達する直径1ミリメートル未満の穿孔;
を有し、1つの熱可塑性ポリマーフォームの隣接表面が別の熱可塑性ポリマーフォームの隣接表面に隣接し接着剤により接着されていることにより熱可塑性ポリマーフォームが互いに固定されているポリマーフォーム物品。 - 前記接着剤が、1コンポーネントポリウレタン、2コンポーネントポリウレタン及びホットメルト接着剤からなる群から選ばれる、請求項1に記載のポリマーフォーム物品。
- 別の隣接表面に接着された各隣接表面の表面積の少なくとも50%を覆うポリマースキンによりさらに特徴付けられる、請求項1又は2に記載のポリマーフォーム物品。
- (a)ポリマースキンを含む隣接表面、隣接表面に対して垂直な方向の厚さ寸法及び隣接表面を貫いてフォームの厚さ寸法未満の深さまで達する直径1ミリメートル未満の穿孔をそれぞれ有する少なくとも2つの熱可塑性ポリマーフォームを用意する工程;
(b)少なくとも1つの隣接表面に接着剤を適用する工程;
(c)1つの熱可塑性ポリマーフォームの隣接表面が別の熱可塑性ポリマーフォームの隣接表面と隣接し、これら2つの熱可塑性ポリマーフォームの間に接着剤が存在するように、2つの熱可塑性ポリマーフォームを積層配向で配置する工程;及び
(d)熱可塑性ポリマーフォームの間の接着剤により熱可塑性ポリマーフォームを接着させる工程、
を含む、請求項1に記載のポリマーフォーム物品の製造方法。 - 接着剤が、1コンポーネントポリウレタン、2コンポーネントポリウレタン及びホットメルト接着剤からなる群から選ばれる、請求項4に記載の方法。
