Description
本発明は、凹状すくい面の第1の半径が切削工具直径より大きく、ほぼ平らな凹状すくい面が形成される。よって、切削面取り部に沿って一定のままであるコーダルフック角が得られ、螺旋状溝切削タップの性能が改善される。
また、本発明は、凹状底面の第2の半径及び凸状ヒール面の第4の半径が切削工具直径より小さく形成されることにより、切屑が溝内でカールしたときに切屑に加えられる曲げを最小限に抑え、切削タップに加えられる力が低減される。よって、最適な切屑の流れが実現される。
また、本発明は、凸状の中間面を設け、これの第3の半径が第4の半径より大きく形成されることにより、切屑の曲げが低減され、溝からの切屑の排出が改善される。よって、螺旋状溝切削タップの性能が改善される。
Claims (21)
- 前端と後端とを有する細長い本体を備える切削工具であって、
前記細長い本体が、前記前端の近傍を起点として前記前端から後方に延びる溝付部を有し、前記溝付部が、切刃を定義する溝を有し、
前記溝が、凹状すくい面を有し、前記凹状すくい面が第1の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状すくい面に隣接する凹状底面を有し、前記凹状底面が第2の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状底面に隣接する凸状ヒール面を有し、前記凸状ヒール面が第4の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状底面と前記凸状ヒール面との間の凸状の中間面を有し、前記中間面が第3の半径によって定義され、
前記切削工具が切削工具直径を有し、前記第1の半径が前記切削工具直径より大きく、
前記第2の半径及び前記第4の半径は前記切削工具直径より小さく、前記第3の半径は前記第4の半径より大きい、切削工具。 - 前記凹状すくい面がコーダルフック角を定義する請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記コーダルフック角が10度の負角〜15度の正角の範囲である請求項2に記載の切削工具。
- 前記コーダルフック角がゼロ度に等しい請求項2に記載の切削工具。
- 前記溝が、10度〜55度のねじれ角を有する螺旋状溝である請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記ねじれ角が40度〜50度の範囲である請求項5に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が4つの螺旋状溝を有する請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記切削工具がコア径をさらに有し、前記コア径が前記切削工具直径の30%〜50%の範囲である請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記第2の半径が前記切削工具直径の5%〜25%の範囲である請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記第4の半径が前記切削工具直径の20%〜30%の範囲である請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が複数の溝を有し、隣接する各溝の間にランドがあり、前記ランドが、第3の直径を有する内接円によって定義され、前記第3の直径が前記切削工具直径の15%〜25%の範囲である請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記ランドの各々が幅を有し、前記各ランドの幅が、20度〜30度の範囲である第2の角度によって定義される請求項11に記載の切削工具。
- 前記第3の半径が前記切削工具直径の50%〜200%の範囲である請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が前記溝を3つ含む請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が前記溝を5つ含む請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体がコバルト焼結炭化タングステンを含み、コバルト含有量が10重量%〜16重量%の範囲である請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が高速度鋼を含む請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体がさらにコーティングスキームを含み、前記コーティングスキームが、金属窒化物、金属炭化物、金属炭窒化物、金属ホウ化物及び/又は金属酸化物の1つ以上を有する1つ以上の層を備え、前記金属が、アルミニウム、シリコン、並びに周期表のIVa族、Va族、VIa族の遷移金属の1つ以上から選択される請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記切刃が1〜100μmの半径に研磨される請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前記凸状ヒール面に隣接する前記切刃が1〜300μmの半径に研磨される請求項1〜19のいずれか一項に記載の切削工具。
- 前端と後端とを有する細長い本体を備える切削工具であって、
前記細長い本体が、前記前端の近傍を起点として前記前端から後方に延びる螺旋状溝付部を有し、前記螺旋状溝付部が、切刃を定義する溝を有し、
前記溝が、凹状すくい面を有し、前記凹状すくい面が第1の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状すくい面に隣接する凹状底面を有し、前記凹状底面が第2の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状底面に隣接する凸状の中間面を有し、前記中間面が第3の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記中間面に隣接する凸状ヒール面を有し、前記凸状ヒール面が第4の半径によって定義され、
前記切削工具が切削工具直径を有し、前記第1の半径が前記切削工具直径より大きく、
前記第2の半径及び前記第4の半径は前記切削工具直径より小さく、前記第3の半径は前記第4の半径より大きい、切削工具。
