Abstract
Description
Claims (24)
- 前端と後端とを有する細長い本体を備える切削工具であって、
前記細長い本体が、前記前端の近傍を起点として前記前端から後方に延びる溝付部を有し、前記溝付部が、切刃を定義する溝を有し、
前記溝が、凹状すくい面を有し、前記凹状すくい面が第1の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状すくい面に隣接する凹状底面を有し、前記凹状底面が第2の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状底面に隣接する凸状ヒール面を有し、前記凸状ヒール面が第4の半径によって定義される切削工具。 - 前記切削工具が切削工具直径を有し、前記凹状すくい面が第1の半径によって定義され、前記第1の半径が前記切削工具直径以上である請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記凹状すくい面が第1の半径によって定義され、前記凹状すくい面がコーダルフック角を定義する請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記コーダルフック角が10度の負角〜15度の正角の範囲である請求項4に記載の切削工具。
- 前記コーダルフック角が約ゼロ度に等しい請求項4に記載の切削工具。
- 前記溝が、約10度〜約55度のねじれ角を有する螺旋状溝である請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記ねじれ角が約40度〜約50度の範囲である請求項7に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が4つの螺旋状溝を有する請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記切削工具がコア径を有し、前記コア径が前記切削工具直径の約30%〜約50%の範囲である請求項9に記載の切削工具。
- 前記切削工具が切削工具直径を有し、前記第2の半径が前記切削工具直径の約5%〜約25%の範囲である請求項9に記載の切削工具。
- 前記切削工具が切削工具直径を有し、前記第4の半径が前記切削工具直径の約20%〜約30%の範囲である請求項9に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が複数の溝を有し、隣接する各溝の間にランドがあり、前記ランドが、第3の直径を有する内接円によって定義され、前記第3の直径が前記タップ径の約15%〜約25%の範囲である請求項9に記載の切削工具。
- 前記ランドの各々が幅を有し、前記各ランドの幅が、約20度〜約30度の範囲である第2の角度によって定義される請求項13に記載の切削工具。
- 前記溝が、さらに、前記凹状底面と前記凸状ヒール面との間の凸状混在面を含み、前記凸状混在面が第3の半径によって定義される請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が切削工具直径を有し、前記第3の半径が前記切削工具直径の約50%〜約200%の範囲である請求項15に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が前記溝の3つを含む請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が前記溝の5つを含む請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体がコバルト焼結炭化タングステンを含み、コバルト含有量が約10重量%〜約16重量%の範囲である請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体が高速度鋼を含む請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記細長い本体がさらにコーティングスキームを含み、前記コーティングスキームが、金属窒化物、金属炭化物、金属炭窒化物、金属ホウ化物及び/又は金属酸化物の1つ以上を有する1つ以上の層を備え、前記金属が、アルミニウム、シリコン、並びに周期表のIVa族、Va族、VIa族の遷移金属の1つ以上から選択される請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記切刃が1〜100μmの半径に研磨される請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前記凸状ヒール面に隣接する前記切刃が1〜300μmの半径に研磨される請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 前端と後端とを有する細長い本体を備える切削工具であって、
前記細長い本体が、前記前端の近傍を起点として前記前端から後方に延びる螺旋状溝付部を有し、前記螺旋状溝付部が、切刃を定義する溝を有し、
前記溝が、凹状すくい面を有し、前記凹状すくい面が第1の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状すくい面に隣接する凹状底面を有し、前記凹状底面が第2の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状底面に隣接する凸状混在面を有し、前記凸状混在面が第3の半径によって定義され、
前記溝が、前記凹状底面に隣接する凸状ヒール面を有し、前記凸状ヒール面が第4の半径によって定義される切削工具。 - 前記切削工具が切削工具直径を有し、前記凹状すくい面が第1の半径によって定義され、前記第1の半径が前記切削工具直径以上である請求項24に記載の切削工具。
